  • Brace yourself for a TRULY powerful episode with the bestselling author and creative genius, Elizabeth Gilbert. Although best known for her memoir Eat, Pray, Love--which went on to sell over 12 million copies and became a film staring Julia Roberts-she’s also one of Time Magazine’s 100 most influential people in the world… The whole world. Spend some time with her in your ears on today’s podcast and you’ll know why in under a minute...
    In this episode, we cover
    * How Liz considers mental health her full time job, and writing / being a professional creator is a hobby.
    * How the only way out of pain is through honesty. Liz shares her experiences working through the loss of her partner to cancer. The things we won’t even admit to ourselves will cause us pain, even to the point of mental and physical breakdown
    * Her latest INCREDIBLE novel called City of Girls (…a "delicious novel of glamour, sex, and adventure, about a young woman discovering that you don’t have to be a good girl to be a good person”)
    * Why mercy is the foundation to any creative endeavor.
How creativity and writing can be a tool to slow the mind during hard times.
    * And lots more. Liz is seriously remarkable - a force of nature that you’re going to love…
Can’t wait for you to dig in. Enjoy!

Elizabeth Gilbert has done the hard work, during her year in Eat Pray Love, she confronted the physical, spiritual and ultimately her own humaness. Like the host said, she gives out "power pellets". There is no ground you are standing on, and the terrifying moment you realize your life is about parental drama you inherited and need to discard...then who are you? This is the journey of life. A must listen to!!! Thank you!!!💖🙋‍♀️

Elizabeth is the most amazing, independent, honest beautiful person who is my idol & inspiration I just bought this book and reading it right now. When I watch these videos and interviews with her it brings me back to ME and reminds me that I need to stop letting emotions that I feel for others like relationships gets the best of me some times and I need to be stronger and there's always room to grow and you can never stop growing and how I don't need anyone but ME. I'm also a writer and wrote half of my book and stopped now I'm starting again on a completely higher spiritual level. She inspires me to let myself soul be seen and free myself from the image of body because I am not body I'm a spiritual being having a human experience in a body that does not define what's inside ❤ much love I thank God for sending such a strong inspirational soul to save so many woman and all beings.

Dynamic interview. Liz's partner was her corner stone. I am older and have experienced a LOT of living. My only corner stone was my maternal grandmother. She was in my life into my 30s. When she died, the sobbing and dreams almost did me in. Listening to Liz, I realize now that my grandmother imprinted into my soul and DNA since my birth. She taught me to be myself, which is no easy thing, according to this interview. And no one else has ever seen the real me and loved me regardless. I consider myself lucky to have ONE person like that in a lifetime. Her compassion was my saving. And I am a highly creative person, art wise/journalism wise...

Love this conversation. There is so much in truth telling… Liz’s comments on …If there’s something you know about yourself that your intimate partner doesn’t know and if they did they’d change their own life, they deserve agency over their own life’ this is how I felt after my now ex husband told me he was bisexual, by him claiming it had no impact on our marriage just made it worse as I chose his kids as mine, I chose not to have my own kids for us… I deserved to know this when I was making the biggest decision of a woman’s life. It’s been a big healing journey since then and now I chose my art, to pour everything I have into it and to grow a creative community around me, my version of family. Just speak your truth… my fave saying during that time was Heal your own wounds so you don’t bleed over those who did not cut you …
Thank you Liz Gilbert and Chase Jarvis… love your belief that creativity matters :) 🙏

I don't know how to get those things so I live alone with only the Love I know I am...However I KNOW it is human nature to want to be connected to others, but I am too rare and different, in a good way. I am also inspired about Liz's talking about fear and sharing her courage as I am stepping out of that even more so because of her sharing, sometimes I watch one of her video's before stepping out in courage and I am able to do it without fear of failure but instead a big "hell yea" for the fear of not doing something and wishing I did in fear that if I don't someone else will and I would only have myself to be pissed at. In addition to this beautiful interview..the set is gorgeous. The black and white film is extremely conducive to openness. Interesting she talks about a " virus " pre covid.
    I'm loving this ❣️
