Late Night Walking in TALLINN, ESTONIA 🇪🇪

- After returning from Tartu I decided to take a late night walk around Estonia’s capital Tallinn. I found skyscrapers in the new town, hidden passageways in the old & ended up at Town Hall Square.

I took a late night walk from Tallinn’s Central Bus Terminal (Tallinna Bussijaam) to the Town Hall building in the marketplace of the old town. Although late the sky was still a shade of deep blue and I was in the mood for a bit of walking after getting off from a long bus journey.
Tallinn’s new town is filled with tall skyscrapers and high rise office buildings made of glass and steel. I walked along the roadside and through Tammsaare Park where I spotted the historical city gates of Tallinn’s old town.
On my way to Town Hall Square (Raekoja Plats) I explored a few narrow streets and followed a quaint and almost secret passageway to a tiny street of tombstones, taverns and wooden fortifications. There’s always something to see in Tallinn and it was fun getting lost in the maze of little streets and pathways somewhere in the historic quarter.

Tallinn's streets are very beautiful, I loved walking round them on my week there in January! Lovely video 😊 The city wall you refer to at 4:00- I walked up and along there when I visited, it gave me some really beautiful views of the city! And the coffee place you walk past at 4:57- I went in there for a little coffee one eve and it was very cute in there. Defo agree that Tallinn is one of the nicest capitals in Europe. Funny that you mentioned the grand sqaure in Brussels at the end- I was in Brussels for the first time last weekend and saw that then- it was very impressive!
Sounds like a nice little coffee shop, I love it when you find these sort of places when you're out just strolling around. My first sight of the Grand Place in Brussels was just before sunset and the sun was shining a bright orange glow onto it - looked spectacular. Always sticks in my mind. Cool that you made it up onto the city wall, unfortunately I didn't get that far - was it worth doing?
@MattWhitingsEurope definitely agree, it's the nice little finds that tend to be most memorable 😊 yes the city wall was really lovely, worth walking along if you go back. There are some nice benches up there so you could sit with a coffee and relax. And when I saw the main square in Brussels the sun was starting to go down too, it has stuck in my mind too! 😊
