Just did a test drive. First time for a Malaysian car. I am impressed. Before folks jump on me, I'm retired now and previously owned BMW, Lexus etc so very familiar with luxury cars. I recommend a test drive to judge for yourself.

I don’t like how it looks from the back, but its a good car worthy of the price tag

Only choosing Marine Blue colour will help things a bit.

Ok la. Not the perfect car. But perfect for my usage.
Big, spacious, comfortable, tech rich, good price and economical.
Easy to drive around in town.
1.5L road tax is cheap. And fuel consumption is comparable to a ncp150 vios in mix driving.
    Nothing more to complain about.

For some reason or another, Proton's management always seemed to be off in many ways, perhaps due to political instead of business oversight. Perodua's management on the other hand, seemed to be slow and steady, more like their Japanese counterpart. It wasn't that Proton's technical expertise was lacking but their management was, which is a shame considering that Proton was supposed to build up Malaysia's technical prowess.

I like it. Design wise it’s okay. Could do better with more futuristic geely design like the expected facelift x70 geely baoyue which looks decidedly more american. The space and sunroof great. Only wished it had apple carplay or android auto. And what’s the mileage for the mild hybrid? If it has more hybrid and around 230ps maybe would be more interesting but definitely if I’m Malaysian would consider this top pick, followed by innova hybrid, then odessy or crv ehev, mazda cx90 hybrid would be nice, byd is great but not sure what 7 seater they have in Malaysia, cherry okay only, jaecoo also, haval also, mg also, who am I missing for Malaysian market, is there wuling or maxus mifa. Perodua don’t have an interesting 7 seater, the alza a bit weak with 1.5 non turbo, if they have a innova hybrid or grand highlander hybrid, would be awesome. Sorento hybrid also awesome.

Marked difference between Malaysian's corporate strategy and Chinese's strategic positioning.

Will there be any changes in x 90 in 2025 like x70, 2025 model?

    Few key details missing:
    - height of the reviewer
    - kerb weight of the car
    - ground clearance figures
    - Engine power and torque figures
The kerb weight of this behemoth is almost 1.8 tons, and the horse power it produces is only 177, another fake SUV that weighs like kne but doesn't have the power to be a proper people mover.
I fail to understand why these manufacturers sre making such heavy and clearly underpowered cars all in the name of economy when their prices are anything but economic. In 5 years time the underpowered and overworked engine will give up leaving you with a heavy paper weight.

Chinese brands are killing each other as they compete in similar price segment of between 100-200k.
They would.all.feel the pinch later. From Geely (throught Proton) to Haval, to GWM Ora, to MG, to BYD, to Chery, to Jaecoo to GAC, Neta and soon Xiaomi.
The party is crowded already. Cake is small.
And lets not forget, the X90 rear multi link system was not designed and engineered by Proton but plug and play from Geely same model with AWD sold in China.

It starting to looks outdated. With the price tag and competing with all other chinese brands, I would say Proton is not that cheap and nothing special. Proton need to change their game or else, they will be lose in the near future. Don't syok sendiri.
