By the way, i started collecting SKMEI-watches with model XK1049 after viewing your excellent reviews about it. Especially about the feature to be a real solar watch, or not.
And yes, i got back 10 € from AliExpress, after telling them that the solar cell doesnt charge an akku, as the watch is only equipped with a standard battery💪.
Hopefully this info helps some other buyers of this model, the same way.

Thank you, GL. I've been eyeing this watch for a while but, not to be a suck-up-er, but I was waiting for a good review because the one I found wasn't very complete and it was from the negative display version, so I wanted to see the positive display in different scenarios (different light sources and from various angles) as I'm a sucker for LCD displays of this apple sauce beige tint. I don't know what it is about them but they remind me of the early 90's.
The good thing about this one is that, if I'm not mistaken, is the same size of a regular DW-5700/DW-5600 so you can mod it to your heart's content with parts for those models, though if I bought one I'd leave it as it is, as I think it's already pretty cool but maybe add some bullbars. The negative one is also very cool, but tbh I already have a negative display one and it barely gets any wrist time.
PS: Hold on, what do you mean the year isn't implemented in the watch? Are you sure? how does that even work?
The only details I'm not a fan of are that and that the buttons are in an odd order.

@@GedmisLagunashoot...! I never saw your reply, I didn't know there was a giveaway. I just recently remembered this watch so I looked it up in AliExpress, but nothing showed up, so I contacted SKMEI's original/factory sellers and they told me it was discontinued 🙃 So yeah... 😆😆😆

I think the screen quality is better then other skmei gshock
Yes, the screen is good
I have the black bezel version of this one, it’s the best skmei so far in my opinion. Would advise to go for the positive display as negative is difficult to read

Finnaly buy this one for $5.24, and I'm surprised with the quality of this watch, especially the rubber quality, it's closed to g shock man.
I've skmei 1628 too, but the quality of rubber is different, 1776 allot better.
