Alaska SkyWest E175 Economy Class - Santa Rosa to Seattle

- After a fantastic Avelo Air Inaugural Flight, it was time to start the journey back to the East Coast and FINALLY finish up a week full of chaos. Part 10 in that week consisted of me taking Alaska SkyWest's E175 up to Seattle, Washington from Santa Rosa, California in Economy Class. Alaska Airlines increasingly is becoming my favorite US airline, but how does their regional plane stack up to the excellent hard & soft product on their mainline fleet? Well...it doesn't quite but it definitely tries! It's certainly a much better ride than the Q400 and is fairly comfortable in and of themselves, but I'll take their 737-800ER any day! Also, after living in San Francisco now for awhile, I can confirm the Santa Rosa airport experience is MUCH easier than SFO, OAK, or SJC. Would highly recommend flying out of STS and on Alaska! Little late here: glad you enjoyed my home airport!! STS just finished construction of their main concourse and ticketing area. It’s beautiful and modern, lots of natural light, and WORKING vending machines. The second concourse is still a tent, but I think construction starts soon. Oh and we have a baggage claim carousel now too!

By 2023 AS will be full all jets services after retirement of their Horizon Air Q-400’s and the A-320/321 from the fleet and becomes “ Proudly Boeing- Embraer “

Edit:This trip report was absolutely fantastic as always Chris, and Alaska seems good. I personally think the best E-Jet hard product is probably the Air Canada Express one, but this still seemed great! Oh and glad I’m not headed to Burbank, Emil was proposing scary ideas there!😹

That person helping you on the plane was not an Alaska Airlines employee, the flight attendants and pilots on that flight are SkyWest employees operating a SkyWest airplane on behalf of Alaska Airlines, and we're the best in the business ;)
It’s happened to me !! No windows LoL I was so upset flying from LAX to SEA on Delta Embraer 170 LoL ( operated by SkyWest if I’m not mistaken)

I was a SkyWest flight attendant… Flying into Santa Rosa is super scary on a foggy day. I had my first touch and go in this beautiful city. One of the most scariest rides ever!!!!! Imagine setting up for a landing and executing that preparation for landing and then have to abort landing 2 ft from the ground only to get shot back up almost as a verticals climb.. Turn back to SFO gassed up just to do a second attempt. Half of our passengers got off the plane on the turn around back to SFO. Great ride, great experience to feel while the CRJ200 Was moving like a fighter jet.

I am tall and usually do not like the smaller jets, but this one looks taller than some I have been on. I am 6'4" could I stand up on this plane and NOT hit my head?

I haven't flown on The E-Jets as yet but I will get there God's Willing Plus JetBlue Airways,United Airlines,Delta Airlines,American Airlines & Alaska Airlines all have them but only E175's & E190's.
