PLOT: New York City cop John McClane (Bruce Willis) arrives in Moscow to track down his estranged son, Jack (Jai Courtney). McClane thinks his son is a criminal, so it comes as a shock when he learns that Jack is actually working undercover to protect Komarov (Sebastian Koch), a Russian government whistleblower. With their own lives on the line, McClane and Jack must overcome their differences in order to get Komarov to safety and thwart a potentially disastrous crime in the Chernobyl region.

It was a shameless cash grab. But then we found out he was getting sick . So i understand.

The movie that thankfully killed director John Moore’s career. If you want to see a director with a 0 batting average, look at his filmography and be grateful he can’t hurt any more franchises.
Also pretty much killed writer Skip Woods’s career, but also not a loss. Dude wrote Wolverine:Origins…
I mean he did do one movie after called hitman agent 47 but after that yeah he stayed quiet.
This movie was far from perfect but I really did enjoy the chase scene with the mrap 🤔

I feel bad for Jai Courtney. He isn't top notch actor, but you seem him trying all the time. It's just sad how every single project he's attached to is either some direct-to-video third grade BS, or is completely panned by critics and audiences. If only he got a couple of decent projects, he could be one of the top actors.
He did finally manage to star in The Suicide Squad. I’m not talking about the one where he had a bigger role though 😂, but I actually legitimately thought he was better used in the few minutes he had in Suicide Squad 2 than in every part he was in 1.

Moore had worked for Fox for many years prior. It does sound like it was a gig no one wanted [the original direct quit to do the 300 prequel of all things]. He even said he was told 'good news, you've got the job...bad news, you've got the job'!

Damn, not only is this the worst Die Hard, they couldn't even follow the widescreen look that has been in all the other films, this movie being 1.85:1 full screen genuinely looks bad to me, it doesn't look right.
John McClane would never put innocent people's lives in danger. He tried to save Elis and all the passengers on the plane. This isn't him. As for the chase, it's so terribly shot you can barely see what's going on.
