This is my favorite Die hard EVER! Hes so much more experienced, he doesn't care and hes more aggressive, not even afraid to hit a woman who deserves it well done my man. Love that victory cry at the end. My second would be the first one of course it is a very close second.

Okay. Well, what bothers me is how over the top the action in this film gets. John McClane is way more like a superhero than a regular, vulnerable person he felt like in the first three Die Hard films. I also feel that even though the villain in this 4.0 has his daughter as a hostage, McClane doesn't seem that anxious. Why is it important to you how "he doesn't care"?
@@jcp1984againI think what OP means by “experienced” is McClane has saved his wife twice, a whole city plus some black guy he just met a few hours ago. So yeah, this is just a normal day for him. I do agree that the action in this movie is over the top, but that’s the point.

Die Hard with a Vengeance is miles better than this.
This one is my second favorite die hard film right behind the original. Simply because it gave the franchise a great refreshing experience. Especially on how it treats John as a dinosaur in the modern times.
Best line is when Gabriel calls John a "TImex watch in a digital age". Its meant to be an insult, but it perfectly sums up the film and John McClane. The motto for Timex has been "Takes a licking, keeps on ticking" and thats what he does through all the films.
I always thought this one was underrated and one of the best. Die Hard 1 will always be the best, but 3 and 4 are tied for second place IMO. 1,3, and 4 flow way better as a trilogy, IMO. This scene is also reminiscent of Die Hard 1 Hans death, with her pulling out the gun, but falling to death before she can shoot in time. I like to ignore Die Hard 2, and especially 5.
What's wrong with Die Hard 3? For me it's easily the second best movie in the series. Especially because of its sheer R-rated brutality. This one is too tame and makes McClane too much of a superhero character.
Not to mention the ridiculous amount of damage characters like the one that Maggie Q plays can supposedly endure. Her character doesn't follow the f***ing laws of physics at all. In Die Hard 3 a steel wire cuts a bad guy in two for f***s sake. This lady doesn't even break a bone when being smashed in with a f***ing SUV! God this overblown cartoon action makes me angry.

I think they're both pretty similar actually escpically when it comes to there sarcasm both are pretty witty and nonchalant and both are usually forced to punch above there belts even drake will have the same type of sarcastic conversations with himself like mclane does and in uncharted 3 he pretty much wears what mclane is wearing here

I wonder why I heard so many bad comments about this movie. Its an enjoyable joyride in J.Mclane's universe. Bruce Willis handle it very well, Maggie Q was an unforgettable threatening vilan. And this is where I first saw Thimoty Olyphant well ... he was great too who doesnt love him! so my ranking is 3 (the best), 4 , 1 , 2, 5 (forgetable)

I find it really weird how many people hate this Die Hard. I mean, okay, most people either forgot or didn't even know Die Hard 5 existed, but cmon, this movie definitely doesn't deserve all the hate. Obviously, it's not on the level of Die Hard or Die Hard 3, but still, its a pure fun chaos in modern times with Bruce Willis jumping onto a plane and fighting a hot kung-fu chick. What else could you want.

This was the first time that he actually has to fight a woman. While there is a henchwoman in the third movie, she never fights McClane. Funny when considering the Die Hard novel, half of the villains were actually women
Of all the terrorists in the Die Hard franchise, Thomas Gabriel and his team truly scared me. Because I could actually imagine this happening in the US someday. All it takes is one former DOD employee with a grudge, and the entire country could be shut down.

Not gonna lie, at first I thought that Die Hard 4 would be a garbage movie after the failure of Die Hard 3, but I was pleasantly surprised. Although it didn't match the badassery of Die Hard 1 or 2, it had a lot of enjoyable action sequences. This fight in particular is one of my favorites because it's mostly hand to hand combat. Die Hard seems to be at its best when fights are purely hand to hand rather than gun fights
