Cool video... thanks for the demo. How strong of a drill do you need to mix a 5 gallon bucket of soil, horse manure, and clay of needed. It'll be to spread over a foot of straw bale for a garden bed. Maybe some burlap
I would get a hand held mortar mixer. You can get a good one for $99 at Harbor Freight.

Makes me curious what might happen if a scoop of Portland cement were thrown in the mix. Or lime. I known that use lime to mix in with the dirt to prepare road beds...before packing it.
Smokin Bill Williams from my armchair and every book I've read (no real experience) I believe the Portland cement works very well. the problem is that too much may not allow the wall to breath and dry. Which can make the wall crumble from too much moisture. lime can be an effective white wash paint but needs reapplied every few years and can be costly.
BeerBackwards I think the lime whitewash they use to paint the trunks of trees is to also keep parasites out. So it may be worth looking in to.
cement would stop the cobs ability to 'breathe' and vacate excess moisture which leads to mold and mildew. Cob and cob plaster work just fine and are very durable without the addition of cement

It will always be different. Start with a 1:1 ratio. Go from there please.
