Mystery unboxing . Cool. Like the red saddle cloths. I'll have to try doing some of them. Re Athenias I've also found a splash or red here and there looks great. Keep the videos coming. I'm enjoying them.

I wish I knew more on the history and what was done historically for a better guideline to suggest. If you are not completely happy with your phalanx Athenians, I could see adding white stripes to some or even all of the crests. If there is a leader of some sort for each line, even in your head, give them Red and White (or just give them the Blue and White and leave the others Blue). The over all commander, I could see all Red or all Blue. A tri-color is an idea, going Red, White, And Blue, or Black, White, and Blue... even Black, White, and Red. I would do some test runs to see if you like it. Or do something like White every other and then do the other colors... again, not sure how it would look and if you would like it or not.
I do think your cav turned out great, as painting horses can be very difficult.

As always some good ideas there tom. I will have a think about it and see what happens. Historically the Athenian marines which were deployed on the triremes had red crests but I think perhaps a mixture might look good as well I.e blue and white, red and white, solid red, solid blue, black and white, solid black. We shall see. Thanks for the suggestions.

@@thewarchesttownsend7595 No problems, I look forward to see what you do (if anything) and how it turns out. I will add I do think they look fine as is, but I do know you mentioned you didn't want to much of a regimented look as you were saving that for the Spartans.

Thanks. Yes I do want the Spartans to look regimented in comparison and that’s exactly my reason for wanting to alter the Athenians a little bit.

These are fantastic looking, definitely giving me some inspiration for something similar. Are you planning on any gaming with the miniatures?

Thanks! In the future I will definitely consider gaming with them and hopefully be able to film battle reports for my channel. I still have a long way to go though as I need to build and paint an opposition army, I.e Persians. First though I would like to finish my Spartans and start the Macedonians.

Amazing job! How did you paint the skin color?

Thanks! Guilliman flesh but you could use Darkoath flesh as well. Both are good skin tones
