Fantastic Matt. I really like those and as Leon has said, they can be used for many different games systems. I think you will certainly enjoy gaming with them 👍😁
Thankyou :) I’m happy with how they have turned out especially with how much time I’ve put in :) will try pick up a cheap turntable just to help show off my minis :)
Great looking force. I will get round to putting together the hundreds of hoplites I have in the pile of shame one day, and this will serve as inspiration again then!
Good looking force. Always like a nice hoplite or three! If you want a turntable, look on Amazon for cake display turntables.... only cheap but do the job. That's what mine is
Hey! Found you through the I am a Wargamer video 😁 these look fantastic! I recently pulled out a bunch of very old Hinchcliffe ancients from my parents storage unit, but unfortunately they're all different nationalities. Might paint some hoplites and see if it sparks something 😄
Great work mate. I like the blue you’ve used. What shade is it.? You could also use them for SAGA age of magic. I’ve got Mortal gods, not a big fan of them rules. Clash of spears looks good, thinking of getting that and as you also said Infamy
Thanks Leon :) for the blue I used fenrisian grey from GW and used a wash of drakenhof nightshade and then highlighted back up with the fenrisian grey :) I hadn’t thought of age of magic but it’s something I could do as I have the rules :) will have a look into the different boards and see what fits
That's a fantastic work really. I'm so curious, I want to make a force for infamy infamy/CoS and want a movement trays like yours, with round bases and a close orde looking. Which is the diameter of the sinlge bases? And the size of the movement trays? Where you bought them? Thank you!
So I base my historics on British pennies which are 21mm in diameter. The sabot bases/movement trays are from Charlie fox trot, it’s a great company with a huge variety of bases you can buy :) I think the trays are roughly 95mm by 50mm give or take a few mm
Lovely work. Like the palette you've gone with. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks Duncan :)
Look great! Love the shields and basing!
Thankyou! Little big men transfers are worth every penny!
Outstanding! That is an army you can be proud of.
Thank you :)
SAGA is very cool.
Yeah it’s a great rule system
Awesome job, your Greeks are superb!!😍😍😍

Thanks :) looking forward to getting these on the table :) my local games club has just reopened its doors so I’m hoping to get a game in soon :)
Some very nice painting i must say.You must be well pleased with the results.A turn table is a very useful thing to have and not overly expensive.

@@KingMATTtheSuperior yes very pleasing work to look at.I got my turntable from WWW.Hobby.UK.Com

The hoplites look great all ranked up! I’m sure you pile of hoplites will look great once finished :)
Awesome work Matt

You’re on fire Matt. You turned these around really quickly. They look great too. 🙂
Thanks :) keeping the paint scheme easy helps me churn these out :)

Hey bud! Glad you like them :) ancients have a certain charm about them :)
Good afternoon I’m new to your channel and this is absolutely beautiful work well done hopefully I’ll see them in a game someday
Thanks Steve! I’m yet to play with them but I’ve played against them a few times :)

Try sword and spear, I’ve just got into ancients and love the system
Ah thanks for the recommendation I will check it out!
Yup a good set of rules they are
They look excellent mate, very cool. Maybe as well as infamy and clash you could look at Impetus, though that mey be slighter largwer scale battles 👍
Thanks mate :) I will check out impetus as I’m sure I will be expanding this army at some point.
@@KingMATTtheSuperior Nik's video made me get the book haha czcams.com/video/G4kwOfEpm94/video.html

Great work Matt. Check out Men of Bronze by Osprey.
Thanks Paul I will give it a look
Really like your bases. Do you have a video in how to do them?
I haven’t but it was fairly simple i just base coated the bases with a sand colour then used Luke’s APS Mediterranean pre mixed basing material
@@KingMATTtheSuperior didn’t know about those. Less hassle, with pre mixed basing material. 👍
Yeah it’s very handy
How did you get all them done in three days? I need to paint like you. Great painting Matt.
I think I spent way to much time painting than I should of haha
Do you remember what colours of paint you used for the skin?
I normally use citadel cadian fleshtone with a fleshshade wash on top
Excelent greek army. Athenians look fantastic. The spartans all deserve red capes. 😁 Come on you could have hand painted the front shields. 😁
Thanks lucian :) I would up used capes for my Spartans if I had more of them :)
Great looking army! Have you tried them with Saga: Age of Hannibal yet?
I haven’t used them myself in age of Hannibal but I have let my mates borrow them when playing against me :)
Shame he lost Waterloo,
