    Dan, you do not know how grateful I am that you do these daily videos. I am doing pretty good, but I still struggle with the fear of recurring back spasms. When I don't this about TMS, I go really great and that is why I am amazed that you would put yourself out their to help others and have to relive the fact that you also deal with TMS and put yourself in jeopardy. No one else would take the time to do this for free. And your videos way more insightful than anything else out there. Dan, I truly appreciate what you do and you have helped in my fight to battle TMS. I love you Bro!

      That's the thing - you'll know you are truly over the pain when you can talk about it without fear. TMS can't live without fear. With no fear of the pain - it has no power over me.

    YES!! I love how you mentioned the concept of thinking "how things are supposed to be". Once we let go of that resistance so much good can come into our life. Another great one Dan..

    Every video you do are so good but this one was so very good, I'm saving it too to listen to when I need to relax ! Very interesting about the sleep - I always thought maybe I sleep fine due to elimination of gravity lol 😂 but no of course you're so right. It was interesting to see how your muscles momentarily had trouble relaxing after having clenched the stick for so long. No wonder my muscles just love to keep tight ! Your daily videos keep me going and give me hope Dan, you are loved by many in return xx

    Only problem for me is...
    Relaxing is easy when you're not in pain but almost impossible when you are!

    • @PainFreeYou
      @PainFreeYou  Před 4 lety +4

      Here is the deal. The brain believes what we think and say most often. If you keep on saying it's impossible to relax or soothe yourself when the pain is there, it will be impossible. Yes, you CAN relax through the pain. Calming your thinking is the first step. Then, soothing the body with relaxation, breathing, meditation, nature, etc is also important. And when you remind yourself that your body is fine because you KNOW what TMS is and you ACCEPT that is causing your pain, there is nothing to fear. You are already well. You just need to convince your brain of that FACT.

    Ooooo love this Dan. Relax, open up and let go. After a stressful last year, I notice my tension increased to the point where my body is very tense and my fists are clenched throughout my day. It makes me realise how much I have been tense and clinging to that stick. This analogy was very useful. Saved this video for later. This is one of my new favourites. You are awesome Dan.

    Dan, the only thing I can't get a grip on -- nine months into Chronic Pelvic Pain -- is how to deal with flare-ups at night that won't let me fall asleep even as I can't keep my eyes open. I am at the mercy of my symptoms, utterly helpless and drained of energy. Please help.

    Dear Dan..Your hand is my Head! I carry terrible Tension in my head..neck..and shoulders..But Unaware..Until now. Meditation is crucial for me..it is helping me Feel what relaxation feels like. I have to do meditation every day and remind myself a lot. But it is helping me. My Mind needs to relax too..I think far too much and about the wrong things. And it is More than pain and Symtoms..it is a Life Change for me. This is really helping me. Thank You!

    Wonderful video! Thankyou . I think nature is very healing too and the fact that you spend time in nature is also very helpful right? Deep breathing and just feeling the body & breathing is also very relaxing.

    I've started to look into tms videos and books, they mention alot about hidden emotions and trauma that needs to be faced with also journaling. I think I've already done all that months ago so I'm in between stages in a different order.

      I'm not 100% convinced we have to go through emotional hell to end our pain. I'm much more about creating a feeling of safety in the present. Whatever works for you is cool by me.

    It is so hard for me to relax when the pain hits. It comes on strong every night around 7. I live in fear of night time coming because with it comes the pain. I normally deal with it now by taking a zolpidem and going to bed around 830. I know that in the morning the pain will be gone at least for a few hours. But this is what I've run into when trying to calm myself at night when it hits. I'll tell myself to calm down and relax. Then my body relaxes. But then it sinches up again ( the pain is in my right buttock) , so ill6take a few deep breaths and relax my buttock muscles once again. Then in a few more moments it sinches up again and once again I relax my body. This goes on and on. I can't stay in the relaxed state. It becomes exhausting to keep trying so I have basically given up and quit. How do I keep my body relaxed? It almost seems as if my buttock muscle, although in pain, is more "comfortable " being tensed up than relaxed. What do you recommend I do so I'm not exhausting myself fighting this constant battle of relax then tense?

    • @PainFreeYou
      @PainFreeYou  Před 3 lety

      Donna, what you are describing here is how your symptoms react and how you try to react to them. Overall, the suggestions are not how you relax that specific muscle. My suggestions are more towards teaching the brain that you are safe overall. Here are my core recommendations. They all matter. czcams.com/video/3vJgBnrhFt8/video.html

    Thank you for this,
    I am progressing and feeling better gradually using TMS therapy, I do meditation which helps me relax then working on rewire my brain, which is much effective on relax mode, but some times I am using organic CBD oil before my medication, is it OK? with the beleave that my body is not broken, but this oil relaxes me like any other healthy non TMS people.

    • @PainFreeYou
      @PainFreeYou  Před 4 lety

      You ARE a healthy person. TMS doesn't make you unhealthy. CBD - it's up to you. It's not a TMS cure - the work I describe in my daily videos is the answer. I can't recommend for or against CBD. Just know that you aren't broken.

    What emotions am I looking for? Or need to feel? I guess I’m confused... because I stress a lot which makes sense for pain but digging for what emotions ??

    • @PainFreeYou
      @PainFreeYou  Před 4 lety

      Feel whatever emotions you are experiencing. It's not digging. It's not "work". Just feel your normal emotions. This video may help. czcams.com/video/Zay4mMkup-A/video.html
