Uno de los WOD Héroes más conocidos. Realmente el RX de este WOD se recomienda hacerlo con un chaleco lastrado, aunque eso queda a la elección del sufrimiento que estés dispuesto a soportar. Se trata de un WOD bastante duro y los últimos 1.6km de carrera se hacen bastante pesados después de realizar las 300 sentadillas.

Everyone who have negative things to say more than likely haven’t done this workout. Have some pride and try it out. It will humble you.
As a side note, every CrossFit gym I’ve been in has quite a few workouts that work on strict pull-ups and strict muscle ups. The kip/butterfly movement is just for efficiency due to volume/time. These dudes could rep most people to death with any strict movement.

Kipping only exsist to make higher reps easier and I still think its better to cut the reps in half and do them strict only.

Lukif705 it's called butterfly pull-ups, they are a different variation... they are designed for efficiency rather than muscle building. They do them so they can win... they are harder than they look and take a long time to learn the perfect way of doing them. Some people just don't realise and talk shit without having any knowledge to back it up.

@@michaelnewton1332 not true. The original pull up was strict yes, gymnastics invented the kipping variation, and crossfit invented the butterfly variation. It’s easier to judge in competition. None of this takes away from the original strict pull up, and we are not claiming that bitterly pull ups saw the same thing at all!
The quick disconnect is made for medical emergencies.. i.e. getting shot. We all have it on our carriers.

And I pretty sure those are grips like from gymnastics, highbar you have three holes for you’re fingers. Two holes is for rings. At least that’s what it looks like. It helps keep you’re hands from ripping as much also.

@SpreadTheWord it doesn't do either. Professional runners used take steroids before all the testing. If they take a lot of testosterone or would hinder this type of workout for sure. BUT there are many types of steroids. Winstrol for example is something runners would take. Not saying these guys are on anything but it definitely is used by high endurance athletes.
This is tough. I would love to see what they look like if those kipps or whatever those pull-ups are called were not allowed. Props to those guys regardless.

I love this workout and am super stoked Josh Bridges won this, but the chin over the bar standard of throwing your head back versus pulling an inch higher 10:26 is rough, and the super loose vest that touched the ground about 8 inches shy of a chest touch 11:05 are hard to watch.
