Nah, I tear up almost every time I hear this opening... Especially that last whisper at the end. Chills... Such a beautiful OP.
The song is definitely emotional for me too. This is one of my favorite anime. It really matches the tone of the show.
This show is the definition of "don't judge a book by it's cover" Probably one of the darkest show that came out this year/last year. And opening 2 is my favorite from this year by far
It's of a new genre style I've seen appearing more frequently recently. Atm I'm calling it "cute looking happy anime, that veils some really dark, f-ed up, crap". So stuff like:
Ranking or kings (cannibalism, murder, torture)
Ascendance of a Bookworm (child marriage, child r, death, torture, starvation)
Thought there was more, but that's honestly about it. Many anime that have a happy exterior, but dark implications, reveal the darkness more over time (something like school live). But these are the first two that I've seen, where the implications of the world being a lot darker, are just kept as implications that are hinted at occasionally

@@Jhulian_R They're both definitely worth a watch. But fairly opposite of what most people think when it comes to anime. As shounen is the dominant genre for popular anime (Male teenagers as main audience). Whilst both the shows I listed, when manga (and to a lesser extent as anime) had a dominant fanbase that consisted of women in their 20 - 30s
Probably would've skipped over both of them if it was me from 10 years ago, especially bookworm. But I'm glad I didn't, because they're both 8/10 (even if, sadly, bookworm, isn't completely in line with the source material and rushes a little bit)
Same, OP 2 is my 3rd favourite opening of all time, music and vocals are amazing, and it's very emotional, especially if you've seen the anime
After Made in Abyss nothing surprises me anymore

Even without knowing the context, the music conveys the innocence of the protagonist and how he changes throughout his adventure.

You should definitely watch this anime.
It's a very heavy and emotional series, but it also has some juvenile/nostalgic elements to it, and this fact makes the scenes even more emotional.
I promise that you will like literally every character in the end.
May do it, if I felt this emotional with only a minute and a half and no context, I'm afraid what the full anime can do to me đ„Č
I loved this show so much, and the openings, endings. The artist of op 1, King Gnu became one of my favorite artists. And Vaundy, wow. Amazing emotional music

watched a lot of professional reviews and some simple reaction videos for this song and this one is my favorite. You do a great job catching and explaining things I wouldn't notice as a non-musician, but you honestly take the time to just appreciate how it feels to and go about expressing that too. I also REALLY appreciate how you make sure to go back a little any time you pause so that you can get back into the flow, I see a lot of people just start and stop and it bothers me lol
King Gnu, the makers of opening one, are one of my favourite bands since i found them from this song, the guitarist for the band actually helped compose the opening for chainsaw man. Would love more reactions to their music, theyve done some stuff for jujutsu kaisen's movie, a wide variety of genres

The second opening is my favorite of this show. It feels so sad, yet so hype and happy as well. It captures it all so perfectly. Also, Vaundy was the same artist that made Chainsaw Man ending 1 I believe.

It's amazing how the singer in CSM ending, had a totally different intention couldn't relate them!
They did the softer opening for one specific reason. The main character is completely deaf and communicates via sign language. They wanted to kinda make that point clear.

2nd op is composed by Vaundy, a male solo singer and sing writer.
He is still a college student, althoug he doesn't reveal which college he is in. He has composed so many mega hits already.Very talented man.

I personally LOVE the image where the little king is completely embraced by his mother, this picture of 2 seconds makes me want to cry and reassure me at the same time its crazy

For me the second opening really potrayed Bocchi, it's meaning is beautiful.. I do cover the song but can never be as good as the singer, I legit crying more after learn about the lyricsđđ

I love how for "Naked Hero" you WANTED to stop and analyze it but you literally got swept up in the amazing combination of visuals and accompanying music so rather than analyzing it at first you EXPERIENCED it.
