I gotta say, every time i hear about some poor guy's wife/gf leave him while he's on duty, and doesn't even have the decency to wait to tell him in person that while he was away serving his county risking his well-being, she was more concerned about finding a date. Seriously, why don't you just send him a break-up txt msg while your throwing your morals in the trash? "Dear John, I know you're under a lot of pressure dodging bullets and all, but my life is soooo rough, you couldn't even imagine, so I started cheating on you and I'm taking the kids, cleaning out the bank account even though i haven't worked for 8 months, your house, your car, your dog you had before we even knew each other, the mattress, the wash clothes, and every single entertainment device in the house, but dont worry, I'll leave you the mortgage payments so you can remember all the great times we had. I'm sorry to do this but what I have going on in my life is sooo much more important that whatever you're doing out there in whatever that country is called. It will be hard for me too, but your life savings and all your possessions will help me through my horrible and difficult life. So Thanks! P.S. Dont get shot..."

Thank you, again, for your immaculate narration of these fantastic stories.
I'd not expected to be so......devastated, by the first story.
Like many other people, I went through a similar situation a long time ago. Though it sometimes feels like it was only yesterday.
The story struck me hard and I felt like Loki must have felt after his last meeting with the hulk in the first Avengers movie:
    Loki: I AM A GOD!!!
Hulk grabs Loki's leg and completely thrashes him.
    Hulk: Puny god!
Damn. I still remember the pain when she told me, after being together for 2,5 years, that she had never truly loved me.
Thank God that I found a wonderful woman. Someone I'd never would've met if I hadn't been ditched first by the Wicked Witch of the West 👍🏻😎

Any woman married to a deployed soldier should be subject to prosecution if she is found to be unfaithful or mismanages the money he sends home or threatens to leave him or start divorce proceedings that such proceedings would not be allowed while he's deployed and the punishment should be extremely harsh as that woman is by definition a traitor and is attempting to undermine the security of the United States.

I know this story is fiction but Afghanistan has a well deserve nickname it's called "the graveyard of Empires"
And now it looks like the United States might be next.
What all these great empires have in common Is they all experience supernatural events while in Afghanistan that just can't be explain.
If you know someone who has served in Afghanistan or someone who use to live there then ask them about what they might have witnessed or heard about while in country
Most will outright refuse to even discuss there time in Afghanistan. I know this is cliche saying but it's the truth everyone who goes there is never the same afterwards.
One soldier told me that he felt uneasy the entire time there being he was a veteran of serval battles elsewhere in the world this uneasiness wasn't due to any fear of looming conflict.
He said it felt like he just didn't belong there and if he didn't leave soon then he would never leave
He was shoot shortly after his arrival and then was able to return to the States. He retired once home out of fear that he might get sent back to Afghanistan
He said soldiers and civilians alike would just up and disappear. Sometimes these disappearances would happen within a few meters of friends and family
Once a child was walking just a few meters behind her grandfather who simply walked around a corner and then disappeared never to be heard from again

Maybe basic should include an hour or 2 going over this and where to get legal advice for protecting finances, etc. After all, lots of $$$ is spent on soldiers so it is part of protecting the military's investment in 'assets'.. for the brass who'd need financial justification for wasting training time ;)

Not to brag, but I once knew a girl that lived in her husbands house, she made her own money, but he was deployed so she did her own thing. Well she and her friend called me to hang out with no bad intentions, and we went to see “300”, upon returning I think the chick did some blow or something bc all of the sudden she was coming on to me hardcore. I told her that one rule I’d never break was to cheat with a married soldiers wife. Not to mention while she lived in his house, and was AT THAT MOMENT, risking his life for country. She said she could respect that and I left shortly after. Next time I saw her at a bar she bought me a drink, and thanked me for being a decent guy. Who knows what else or who else she did, but not me. I couldn’t live with myself having done that to someone that did so very much protecting my freedom to go see a movie, or any of those freedoms you take for granted until they’re gone. It’s just one of the worst things a woman can do. Thanks again Dr., your work is always appreciated!!!

That's why my grandma had such luxury when my grandpa retired as a colonel. Goes both ways. Don't always blame the ones left at home. Though cheating on a soilder is garbage, cheating period is the worst.

As a gun nut I have to point put a small issue. Civilian AR-15s and the Mini-14 can fire the 5.56Nato and .223Rem cartridge if, and only if, the barrel is marked 5.56Nato. If the barrel is marked .223Rem only fire the .223Rem cartridge and Not the 5.56Nato. The difference noted in the story is correct, the demarcation between military and civilian rifles is not.

Lesson to be taken from the first story, NEVER enter into legal contractual marriage with a woman. You can literally only lose.

@ U.S. statistical data suggests that 75% of all marriages end in divorce, with 80% of those divorces being initiated by women.
So hm, you have an 8/10 chance of getting fucked over by any woman. Good luck.

The difference between .223 and .556 is not what they said they were. .223 and .556 are interchangeable between all rifles that are chambered in that round. But the .556 does have a higher velocity

Hi Doc, hi everybody. I’m not a story teller but I knew a few. And you’re tops when it comes to telling stories Doc. Not that I intentionally tried to but when a friend would relay a particularly interesting story, I would automatically reply with a similar story that might’ve seemed a bit over the top. I didn’t think I was trying to out do them, not consciously anyway. I say this because the beginning of this story rings a bell with my early years in the Marines. Her name was Judy Rottencrouch and I was in love. Well you can guess the rest. That was a long time ago. God bless us, these are amazing times we live in now.

Also "CS" gas? Isn't it "CN/CS"? And while it's OK to use against civilians, it's illegal on a battlefield, as a "Chemical Weapon"

    • @BenCDBrown
      @BenCDBrown Před 4 lety +1

CN and CS are two separate compounds thought they are often mixed in chemical irritant weapons.

No wonder no one captures big foot or hellhound/werewolf sightings anymore. A marine blew it to piece's with a incinerary grenade

  • @mixtapeWA
    @mixtapeWA Před 4 lety

Last story has so many damb inaccuracies, the "thumber" is a nick name for a different grenade launcher (m79), a soldier in theater would never ever leave his weapon out of his reach this is one of the first things soldiers are taught during combat training, despite having night vision they still maintain a tight spacing making them extremely vulnerable during their advance to contact on the cave, then the LAV apparently has no crew commander, apparently he gets to keep his m203 when he get promoted without punishment and gets to bring the same one on multiple tours as if it actually belongs to him and not the marine corps. And dont even start me on the plot holes.

@@mixtapeWA i just looked into that. WP isn't itself baned by Article 1 section III. It use is heavily regulated, like no use on civilians, no air dropping it on military targets in civilian areas. It can be used on material, like vehicles or to use to create smoke.
WP is a weird grey area.

It’s funny people think the last story is fake. I’m sure this particular story was made up. But I can assure you many things like this have happened and continue to happen.
