- I officially started watching Columbo on January 30th of this year and quickly fell in love with it. One of the first things I'm going to do on this channel is a series of reaction videos to this AMAZING detective series. But before we do that, I needed to do an 'intro' video of sorts to let you know how this is going to go...
I'm so excited to start this reaction video series! Columbo is easily one of my most favorite things I've ever watched. It's such a delight.

THANK YOU LOOKING FOREVER FOR COLUMBO REACTIONS VERY EXCITED BEST OF LUCK!!!
I've been watching Columbo for Years, i can watch every episode over and over and never get bored. "Hey Columbo, what is your first name" Answer - "Lieutenant" Awesome lol.
I love Columbo! I'm so looking forward to your reactions 🙏
Finally Someone looking at the joy that is columbo!
I love Columbo and enjoyed your reaction. I recall seeing an interview of him probably from the 80's where he said a TV station in a foreign country (IIRC European) ask him to record a public statement for them. Apparently Columbo was extremely popular there and the people started to really pester the TV station for more episodes. So, he said in their language that there's no more episodes.
I recommend another great 70's detective show, The Rockford files.
I love the Rockford files!!!
Insanely super-cute..looking forward to checking out where this goes/has gone.
I'm a big fan of the series too. I read "The Columbo Collection", which is a bunch of short stories of case ideas from one of the creators that never got used, or were partially used in other episodes. For the most part it wasn't very good. I'd like to read Shooting Columbo as well.
My first Columbo episode was the one with Johnny Cash and the way that episode was set up got me interested in the series.
That's a great one. My first was Try and Catch Me, with Ruth Gordon. Totally hooked after that.
New sub. Thank you for this. Just a fun way to get my chores done and listen to something light.
Thanks so much! Hope you enjoy tagging along for the Columbo watch. :) glad to have you!
I came across one of your Columbo reaction videos and subscribed to your channel immediately.
Hopefully I can follow your journey as you work your way through all of the Columbo episodes.
All the best.
I love Columbo and seen all of them several times. Looking forward to watching your channel. Just found you tonight.
Thank you so much! 🥰
It was hilarious to me how his character caused other characters in the story to think he was dumb or purely thick-headed...as in the script written for the other cops and criminals of the story...their role is to react to Columbo as if he is stupid.
This occurred in several episodes where Columbo is scratching his head or shaking his head ...not answering someone after theyve called his name more than 3 times etc.
This particular setting has a reason behind it. Nine hundred and ninety nine times out of a thousand it meant that he was in deep thought figuring out the crime. When he stands there scratching his head and not answering people hes figuring out the crime. Hes seeing what other people obviously dont see. At first people disagree with his theories and tell him that hes on the wrong track . Following the wrong lead. And it isnt always the criminal who tells him that. The script often follows that concept and as each piece of evidence unfolds they either act as if they are amazed or angered.
In some episodes the characters say..."You know...Columbo..i didnt realize you were as smart as you are" "You had me fooled" "You are devious" "You play a first rate game"
My favorite line is when Columbo says...."I'll tell ya what bothered me" 😅
Columbo is one of my favorite television detectives and one of my favorite television programs. Looking forward to your "Columbo" videos here on You Tube Melissa Thomas. Oh just one more thing, sorry to bother you, but i do hope you'll give good reviews and have a good time doing so lol.
You know, I'm always overdoing things to! And I am currently fixated on Columbo as well. I tried to watch Murder in the Buildings today ( Martin Short = best thing that came out of Canada) - and I just rather be watching tv from the 70s and 80s.
Just came across your channel, looking forward to this series. I grew up reading Encyclopedia Brown and watching Ellery Queen on Sunday nights, and Columbo once in a while. Have you seen Falk in 1976's Murder By Death? You might want to try it, even on yer own time, you don't have to make a posted vid for it, just sit back and enjoy.
Thoroughly enjoyed the Ellery Queen episodes as well. Great characterization by Jim Hutton. The one thing that drops that series out of top-tier status for me, though, is the overuse of 'dying clue' trope.
Peter Falk had a role in the original Twilight Zone as a South American dictator. Good role he played as a bad guy on there.
I hope you consider reacting to breaking bad if you haven’t seen it. It’s awesome. Don’t research it. Just jump in.
I’m forwarding this Columbo reaction. You’re the only reactor so far!
I noticed in your welcome video that you're a star trek fan. Star trek TOS and TNG are becoming increasingly popular amongst the reactor community right now if you wish to expand the content on your channel.
I'd like to suggest a couple of 90s forgotten gem tv shows I absolutely fell in love with when they came to our screens. The 1994 comedy drama Due south and the 1996 drama early edition.
I love Columbo too. Me and my mom used to watch it alot together.
I first started watching Columbo in June of 1985, when it was part of the CBS Late Night Movie. Before then, I would stay up nights watching Dragnet with Jack Webb and Harry Morgan (MASH) , and Adam 12. And since I grew up with CHiPs and Emergency, I grew up on police dramas. So I fell in love with Columbo from when I started watching him.
Yes, more shows from this period after Columbo. No one else is doing them.
Am also currently watching Little house on the prairie with my daughter. Michael Landon knows how to rip out your heart.
Michael Landon is the best! Loved Little House.
Check out Peter Falk as Columbo at the Dean Martin Roast of Frank Sinatra. It's hilarious.
How did you get introduced to columbo? I LOVE IT
I hope you react to murder smoke and shadows episode next. The Spielberg alike is tge creepiest killer ever
If you want a great Peter Falk performance, check out "Robin and the 7 Hoods". An overall mediocre Rat Pack movie, with Frank Sinatra as a Robin Hood-type Chicago gangster (and the rest as his merry men). But Falk absolutely *_STEALS_* the film as rival gangster Guy Gisborne. And for 1964, virtually *invents* a cinematic cultural stereotype! (Compare 'mob' movies before and after).
i bet you'd love watching Pokerface. The female Columbo.
... a feleségem? Őt otthon hagytam. A bejárati ajtó mellett fekszik. Halott. Megfulladt a fürdőkádban. De erről a rendőrség nem tudhat!
