Okay so I know that this was "clickbait" but for someone who's a giant biology nerd, I am head over heels for this game. I'm two levels in, and the worldbuilding is absolutely phenomenal. Every species is well thought out, as well with their relations to other species, and their role in the reef. That's so friggen hard to do, and this game amazes me
Yes, I LOVED it for that reason as well! Was a little hard to get used to, but it ended up being one of my favorite games.

It's actually a sick game. What do you think the thumbnail should have been? Without catchy cover art nobody will even check a game out. I don't think it's really dishonest tbh, the game really is about exploration

When I first saw the picture for the game, I thought "Hmm, this could be a good replacement for Endless Ocean."

I am hooked, think of this more like a book/visual novel even, there is a lot of text describing what the person in the suit sees. Just like in a book you have to fill it in with your imagination. These orange dots in your head become reefstalks, the moving blobs with 4 white circles are the reef grazers who feed on the reef, building their shells with the materials; Its all there and its all described, you just have to imagine the details yourself. Play it in those few solitary dark hours before bed, let yourself get sucked in and imagine a whole new world!
But.. would you play it?

Maxi mini - How many posters for games do you see that look like the actual gameplay? They’re almost always just artwork that is meant to catch people’s eye, not a representation of gameplay.
@@TigerBears11 well I just checked for batman arkham and uncharted, and for both of them you can easily guess what is the gameplay. but as much important it shows what the games look like.
and it's not just because they are AAA, arts of hollow kight or hyper light driver show well what are the games about.
Maxi mini - Sure, you can tell what the game is about, but that’s not the same thing as seeing gameplay. Looking at this cover art, I could guess it was about some sort of sea exploration. Looking at a Batman game poster, I wouldn’t be able to guess the actual gameplay, would I? There’s very few games where you can actually guess the gameplay from the poster, and that’s even more true for games with more niche gameplay like this one.
From the thumbnail, I thought it was going to be a Subnautica type of deal, didn't expect a topographic puzzle game, seems interesting

This trailer is so soothing to me... The colors, the sounds, the music... I am entranced.
That gameplay honestly looks very interesting and unique. Was interested in something like the thumbnail but when I saw the gameplay I was surprised and now I want to see more of this.

Have you tried ABZU? It's not Endless Ocean (I owned both EO's on Wii), but it is really beautiful and has real-ish creatures.

During the whole trailer i was playing like three or four Metroid prime themes in my head. Thought that i would be the only one, glad i'm not.
There is so much negativity and discontent for something that haven't even played yet. Out of the three hundred comments I've seen only a handful that are at least giving this a fair shot. Lord knows only the best games these days require both a 3d world and some sort of weapon in order to be fully immersive

I disagree too ever play animal Crossing New Horizons? No 3D weapon unless you count the slingshot. I expect you to buy this game and give everyone a full report so we can see if it's good or not, since you're interested it seems
The visuals are literally just dots and lines. The thumbnail was a lie. You know damn well the average player is going to be bored of this in 5 mins of play. Artsy games like this historically don't do well and usually have VERY poor replay value. Why would we play this?

@@miroku888 The thing is, there is no such thing as an "average player". Like, we're talking about the _"averagest"_ of players (Yes, I know it's not a word). Everyone has different opinions and preferences, and everyone is going to experience a game in a different way. Maybe it will be exhaustingly boring to you, and maybe even to 100000 other players, but I assure you that there is an equal amount of people who will find this game incredibly immersive and interesting. And the same goes for every other game, or even any piece of media that will be, or has already been created.

Essentially there is a scientist that is researching on an alien planet and you, the character are the AI in the suit, so everything is happening like an anything else but from the AI's point of view. Because an AI doesn't "see" like us, it scans and senses

I'm not sure I understand how it's played but the sounds are so pleasing and satisfying.

I was expecting open-world scuba diving/marine biology exploration game.
What this ended up to be I didn't expect...

This game more fantastic than it actually looks - the sci-fi exploration feeling you get just by reading can only be compared to a quality sci-fi book. I recommend it to anyone who likes to read and look at beautiful colors!
and the sound effects, oh, it's so relaxing! The game is truly immersive!

Look Hunny! - it’s that game with the deep exploration of circular/triangular shapes on a grid!
Very interesting... You explore the world, but you never see the world. The closest thing would be the sketches of the creature reports. It lets you fill the gaps with your imagination, wondering how the world looks like. Like a text adventure.
The thumbnail was misleading, and that's right, but the game looks gorgeous anyway.
Also I loved the sounds, so relaxing and mysterious.

Literally every game nowadays has blood on the rating, I have this game called rain world where the only type of violence is the fact that the creatures die, there not even any blood at all, but on the rating it says E mild blood, like wtf not even fantasy violence
