The Knicks will not win if they trade JR. He was the missing piece from a deep run in the playoffs. A healthy JR OG and another player along with the core is the right way to go.

If Randle was playing for another team and was available for trade this summer, The Knicks would be thrilled to land him in a trade. If we are going to trade him, it should be done mid season.

Randle is the player who made others want to play for the Knicks, before the Knicks had Brunson. He's still an important part of the team.

Julius Randle & Mitchell Robinson are good players, but not enough to improve the Knicks. They are missing too many games due to injuries and played badly in the NBA playoffs in their career. Leon Rose 🌹 sees enough, it's time to trade them. 👎

Randle is a good player physically but mentally he is so so. I think the Knicks will move him before he exercises his player option. They are just waiting for a player who fits well at the 4. A player that can play the 3 and/or 5. A player that can shoot a respectable 3pt %. Durant and Giannis are desirable options but are they available? No idea.
If the Knicks can :
1) upgrade the 4 position with a star player. Giannis or Durant
2) resign ihart and OG
3) trade for Bridges
I think they would be happy in the 2nd apron.
How is trading for Durant an upgrade? How many times does he have to prove that he is not a winner before you believe it

@knicksdigest if I recall one of Randles tantrums occurred during a match up against Durant’s team. And during that game Durant was like chill to Randle. Remember we are not talking about leadership. We are talking about bball IQ and having a sound mind during games. And in those cases yes Durant is an upgrade. Plus he can play the 4 and can hit the 3!
Everyone aside from Knicks fans knows the Knicks want to trade Randle. Doesn't take an insider to know that. The problem is, nobody wants Randle.

3x all star 2x all NBA, last full season he played was one of three guys to average 25, 10, and 5 with the other two being Giannis and Jokic. Randle* is certainly an NBA star
