- The New York Knicks just got the STEAL of the Draft in Marquette veteran point guard Tyler Kolek. Kolek, a 23 year old competitive monster, put up great numbers and had wild success at Marquette and Chris Gallagher fully expects it to translate into a great career with the Knicks.

Tyler Kolek, should have been gone in the first round. He led the NCAA East in passing 3 years in a row. Amazing foot work with his step back shooting, floater and this year he leveled up his 3%. He is a young Jalen Brunson, the more he plays with the team the more he excels in playmaking and he loves going up against bigger guys.

@@AustinWilliams-ex9um not really. Mikal will run the exact same plays off of brunson that divo and hart do just like when they were in college. Randle will be the second scorer and facilitator for this team. With more shooting around him than he's ever had in his career. When the Knicks were torching the league in January and went 12-2 randles usage rate did not go down, it went up.

I agree that he seems looks like a steal. Very surprised dropped in the draft. I think one thing this team has lacked constantly is a distributor off the bench. We have our starter in Brunson I really like that Kolek has led NCAA 3 in a row.
I think he dropped because teams fear he might not be athletic enough and he doesn't utilize his middy game well. I woulda taken him first round though

Sims more then Robinson. Robinson is a great Rebounder and defender. He needs to work on his free throws and to come with some kind of shot. His elite defense and rebounding isnt and shouldn't be over looked. Competition is good.

Bro Tyler Kolek is like Ryan Arcidiacono just slower. This was a horrible draft for the Knicks IMO. I understand they made have done
so to save money after signing OG and trading for Bridges. However, we still need to incorporate long term development which we never do. Look at teams like OKC, Indiana, Orlando, Minnesota, all playoff teams with really good young pieces and they will continue to get better. While our Knicks have a 3 year window to win a chip because our roster is already in their prime.. so no I am not happy about this draft.
This wasn't supposed to be a great year for the draft, and the Knicks are a win now team. No harm in some of the moves they pulled, considering (as you mentioned) they have a $ problem. Most of the team is in their mid 20s, that's longer than a 3 year window. The French kid is 18, same as a freshman in college. Let's circle back to him in 4 years. Feels like the Knicks already tried the development route and they ended up trading them all away
