They way you pronounced hartenstein 🥰 thanks for the video. Nice to see some love for a german role player ☺️
I'm from Germany and I really don't know which guys I wanna have on the olympics roster in the front court. We have Thiemann, Theis, Voigtmann, Franz & Mo Wagner, Bonga & Hartenstein. Kleber won't participate but he would be just another very good option...
I don't think Hartenstein will participate either, because he didn't do so in both Eurobasket and Worldcup.
@@duke5169 Olympics have more cache and prestige then Eurobasket and Worldcup, especially for Americans which Hartenstein really is. I mean Jokic didn't play in Worldcup but he'll play in the Olympics.
If only we could add a few guards, we really have too many good bigs lol
@@gabepizza Difference being Coach Herbert decided to take the same guys to Eurobasket, WC and Olympics. Reportedly all players commited to this prior to Eurobasket 2022
He just had 14 points on 7/8 shooting, a huge offensive rebound that led to DiVincenzo's game winning 3 pointer and a great block against Maxey in the last minute of game 2 to help preserve the victory over Philly. Great night for him!
we are loving Hartenstein over here in NYC 🗽🏀💪🏾
Isaiah Hartenstein is a special player. I feel like if he's given a decent usage rate he will thrive
👇🏻Hartenstein for Olympia Button!
hartenstein was so strong on the clippers finally he gets his well deserved attention
from germany here, just wanted to add its a great video but an even better pronunciation from you. never heard it that good from somebody from an amarican
He's very good defensively. He's fast for a big guy, and has a lot o awareness. If he had a 3, he'd help more in the offence.
He actually has a decent 3pt shot. It's just not part of Thibodeaus system.
As a German I just hope they put him in the line up for the Olympics cause we got no elite big defenders
Probably not gonna happen as long as everyone from the World cup squad stays healthy, I would switch out Thimann tho, Love him but Hartenstein can bring you the same energy from the bench while being a better defender and Playmaker
@@za_kevo6299 throw out hollatz oder Kramer. They are not playing anyway.
Theis bro
@@RT-mf7jk so theis gonna stop embid, wemby, gobert and Davis? I doubt it.. Maxi kleber not gonna play for sure sooo we pretty much need Isiah
@@peterlustig5645 Hartenstein won't 'stop' them either even tho he is the better defender. But those guys can only be stoped with team effort.
Team Germany needs him
Thanks for highlighting my German boy. :)
Greetz from the center of Germany. :)
I saw him play when he was 15 and he was around 6´9-6´10 bringing up the ball stopping at the 3pt line and draining it. I´m surprised that he doesn´t get to shoot more often
Clipper legend !!! Absoultely love his game and wish we were able to retain him but glad he's getting the love he deserves in the bright lights of New York
Clippers could've retained him but according to IHart, clippers simply didn't want him. First management said they couldn't afford him but Ihart said he'd take a pay cut to stay. Clippers finally fessed up and said no. So he came here, reported during an interview in the Brunson and Hart Roommates YT channel.
I used to Play him in all youth Teams (in germany for those that are still debating his nationality). He had a solid 3 Point Shot back then, i cant Imagine it got worse over time. Just Thibs doesnt want any Centers to touch the Ball…
Can we talk about the traveling at 8:25 ? That´s some funny shit :) Dude was running like a 100m sprinter
Steven A Smith is an absolute joke. I can remember him roasting Hartenstein at the very beginning of the season just to praise him two weeks later completely reversing his opinion in the nick of a time
He make that only with white players beside Kwame Brown.
🤣
8:05 thats actually crazy
Great analysis as always 🔥
Would love to see him on the Lakers, as they currently lack alot in terms of defense. And I also believe that Hartenstein will become a main building block of team Germany after the olympics. They are still thinking about maybe giving him a chance for the olympics but it is rather slim due to commitment to the current group of players, but after this tournaments, he will 100% be part of our future squads.
Very solid player. Fits in well with the Knicks
Knicks fans, for how much you'd re-sign Hartenstein?
as a knicks fan i beleibvw the max we can give is 14.4 mill a year but he prob worth like 15-17 the way he playing so about 14-17 maybe 18 if desperate
not sure about the max we can give is 14.4 don't quote me on that
we need him on this team and he is so important what we do and we love him
@@levisthebest6073Orlando snacks him away. We desperately need a big and got the deep bag
14-18
He actually used to shoot 3s while he was with the Clips. He was shooting them at the beginning of his Knicks career but stopped taking them due to his low usage.
Good stuff!
The German was in the Zalgiris 2016 final four team right? He never plays but it was at the team
liked him since in the clippers, plays like theis but more physical
Isaiah Hartenstyn is ballin
good stuff!
He is playing an insane season. Underated 100%
Now in the playoffs he is performing even better 🏀
realy love your channel bro, by the way, 5:38 white was all alone under the basket he should have get the ball and finish there
Eastern European friends are always great at pronouncing names.
To clarify on Hartenstein's nationality/race etc... His father is half African American and half German and his mother is a white American. They met at University of Oregon and Isaiah was born in Eugene Oregon and lived there until he was 8 years when his family moved to Germany where his father was playing basketball professionally.
No No, his father Florian isnt half african american. He’s german with an american father and an german mother.
You want to clarify but actually you’re just creating a false narrative. Hartensteins father is born and raised in germany and lived nearly all his life in germany. His father is a German with one American parent and he played in America because of his career not because he’s American. And also Hartenstein was born in Oregon and lived his early childhood there but mostly grew up in Germany. He speaks native German and even plays for Germany.
You are not saying wrong things but you’re message is wrong. Hartenstein is definitely German
@@lukelillebrorcyran8397 I mean, most Americans who have a dog that ate German dog food once won't shut up how they're really German, so potato/potato?
So 75 percent white
@@tonchrysoprase8654 what? It’s completely the other way around??? Hartenstein is a German who was Born in the USA. Hes Not an italo american with an grandpa who has an italian grandpa
He was MVP in G-League and had a great 3pt shot!
Give him three 3️⃣ years 65 mio 🎉
His shooting might come with time. He was a sniper in his youth in spite of his size, so he should be good enough for open jumpers. Maybe he just has to find his rhythm from out there.
So you are saying that Germans can possibly have front court of Wagner brothers and Hartenstein ? Thats tough to get past
NY x Phili is gonna be good
Calling him Draymond doesn't make him sound like a good defender. Makes him sound like a dirty player.
Nah real hoopers know what he’s does
I like you giving him shine tho
European and hispano-american players never do this of being great before the resing , and then suck.... if they can continue to play great, they usually do
Let's bring him back to Europe where his skills will be appreciated
2 years ago there were reports in media, that Barcelona offered him a contract. Turned down.
he's about to be a free agent. He's going get paid more than he ever could dream of in Europe
That will be dumb. If he's wise,, he's staying in the usa
With the mavs he would have been the perfect fit. And that for pocket money. They missed out another German bigman :/
Dallas didnt have 9 mio in cap or MLE money in 2022...
Hence why they signed McGee for 5.5. That was all the money they had.
isn't he from Oregon?
Yes, but both of his parents are German and he was only born their because of his fathers job because he played there Basketball. He grew up in Germany since he was 6-8
Knicks should resign Hartenstein and OG, then trade Randle for depth and draft assets.
More likely they trade Robinson (who wasnt even happy with his touches as a starter), cause they also still have Achiuwa and Sims as backups.
@@Smido83 Not a bad idea. Dude is made of glass anyway.
AND HIS RIGHTS BELONG TO ZALGIRIS !!!
Ne:Sdd
Nebe. Žalgiris gavo išpirką už jį. Taip, kad grįždamas žaist į Europą, galės klajot kur norės.
He's Albino black
😂
Bright skin*
You should educate yourself what the physical indicators for albinism are
Or just white
He’s not an albino but his dad is a black German. His mom is a white German. He is also Jewish
just wished, he wanted to play for Germany...being half American though, of course he probably wanna play for the US
3/4ths American
@@gabepizza 1/4 american and 3/4 German
@@BrianEscobar26 umm no. His father is half American and half German and his mother is 100% American
@@gabepizza whatever your patriotism tells you lmfao
@@gabepizza still he chose Germany so he feels German
Imagine comparing this dude to Marc Gasol wtf
Yeah, Hartenstein is way better
@@carlkontermann5637 good luck with that buddy 😂😂
Im German and I’m not sure if he is
He was born in Oregon. This is where his parents met in college. However shortly after he was born his parents moved back to Germany. So I would say he's German.
He is: american-german father + german mother.
Hope he‘s in in for this years olympics along with Theis, Voigtmann and maybe Kleber
@@floriangries1908 wrong. American (black)-german father + American (white) mother
@@gabepizza why (black)-German? Makes no sense. He’s half german and not (black)-german
@@lukelillebrorcyran8397 his paternal grandfather was German and his paternal grandmother was African American
German, I thought he's brightskin black 🤣🤣🤣

The 650 Dislikes on this video are either Trumpers, Hate Black women, or... well both those go hand and hand soooo...
isn't he African according to Him? lol
He never said that. He said he’s partly black. And that has nothing to do with nationality
men even looking Highlights in Basketbal is boring, imagne u waste your time with watching this crap, when there is football
80 german "Tiger-Tanks" just rolled in this comment area and took over.
Ask him, he gon say be black before German💀😂
That’s why he played for Germany already and still wants to play for us at Olympiya 💀😂
Black is not an ethnicity/nationality. Imagine some native Nigerian saying i am "Nigerian before Black", sounds ridiculous, doesn't it?
Hartenstein was born in Oregon and moved to germany as 10 year old. So he is half american half german. I like his gameplay alot and allways enjoyed seeing him on the court - big time NYKnicks Fan from germany.
Ah no, the place where you have been born is irrelevant. But he is half-american, because his dad is American.
@@Freigeist2008 all i said - hes not german like mentioned in the video,
@@Freigeist2008 His Dad, Florian Hartenstein, is german. He was born in Germany 1977 and is the son of a black american GI and a german mother. He played Basketball and went to College in the US. That is when and where Isiah was born.
