Say what you want, the fact that Stipe ate so many heavy shots from the hardest hitter in combat sports speaks to his chin. He’s definitely undefeated in Bar fights
Guys I'm sorry, how do you call Stipe the GOAT when Francis decimated him like that, it's not like he was even outpointing him or outsmarting him. Ngannou simply overpowered and out skilled him. That was not close.
I can tell what the problems were in the rematch for miocic. First of all they did not prepare for Ngannou being calm, they prepared for Ngannou rushing in as he did in all his fights. Ngannou was calm for the first time in the Stioe rematch and their whole game plan went out of the window. Second of all Stipes weight was too low, Stipe was 246lbs in the first fight, Ngannou is extremly strong and Stipe needs to be as strong as possible to take down Ngannou. You can't be 3 weight classes below someone and expect to win by wrestling domination. Stipe should have bulked up to atleast 246lb in the rematch and I bet he would have taken Ngannou down. Last but not least, his biggest problem was Ngannous new kickbox style, Ngannou is now throwing feints, comibinations, leg kicks etc. Stipe really needs to work hard to win the trilogy. People count him off completly but he can win that fight. Stipe needs to be atleast 250lbs, he needs to use his jab and cross as he did against DC in the trilogy. Keeping distance but going in and out with straights, cross, hooks and uppercut. Stipe should also work on teep kicks, Gane exposed that Ngannous body is wide open for kicks if he expects a punch. If you watch Ferguson vs Thompson, Ferguson shut Thompsons whole offence down by teep kicking him over and over again. Stipe really needs to work on teep kicks and maybe hit Ngannou in the liver a couple of times, feint, feint, hit in the liver, circle. Feint, teep kick, circle, keep the distance, feint, straight , feint, takedown. Stipe can win by moving a lot (good footwork), feints, he needs to not use combinations, he needs to throw 1 strike at a time and be heavier for the wrestling. If he follows this gameplan he can win the fight, even at 250lbs Stipe has a good chin and can eat Ngannous punch if he catches him a few times in the fight.
The whole weight thing is an excuse, and there is a trade-off for Stipe gaining weight. He may get stronger, but more muscle requires more oxygen and it'll weigh him down. The trade-off here is that the added weight could slow Stipe down, and actually fatigue him and he needs speed and cardio on his side in a fight with Francis. Another thing is that Francis actually came in lighter in the rematch, so it wasn't just a weight problem for Stipe but rather Francis just got better technically with the takedown defence. For Stipe and his team, they must have been underestimating Francis for them to not consider weight as an issue as Stipe said himself coming in lighter was not part of the plan, the weight just came off naturally due to training. If Stipe and his team really thought this was not an issue and the result of the first fight would repeat itself, they frankly more then deserved to lose this and Francis more then deserved to win this rematch. Francis maybe susceptible to teeps to the body, but the problem here is that Stipe has NEVER been a kicker. He's always been a boxer and a wrestler at heart. He's got fast, accurate hands with power but he punches short and his torso is longer then his legs. In fact Stipe has the same leg length as Jose Aldo, very short for a Heavyweight so his body is not made for throwing kicks. At nearly 40 years of age, the time has passed for Stipe to become an effective kicker. He'll never ever be as good as Ciryl Gane in that department no matter how hard he tries. Francis has a longer reach then Stipe does and a more effective kickboxing game, so he'll always have the advantage at kicking range over Stipe plus his longer arms, with freakishly explosive KO power and precise timing. In the stand-up, Francis has every advantage over Stipe (especially with the power) and really can only lose if he gets tired. Given Stipe's age and Ngannou's improvements, he is slower and less explosive now then he was in his prime combined with Ngannou's tighter punching form which makes Stipe a more hittable target on the feet. Stipe's path to victory would come via wrestling, but as we know Francis is not a fish out of water on the ground anymore and his takedown defence has improved to such an extent that Stipe was reluctant to shoot again once he got sprawled. All in all, its an uphill battle for Stipe regardless how you look at this fight. Francis has more then proved himself to be a championship-level fighter, he's not merely a power brute who is done after the 1st or 2nd round.
@@madgavin7568 That's true, Stipe doesn't kick at all. Francis didn't kick that much either in his previous fights, but this fight and the JDS fight are the only one where he kicked more than once.
@Tommy Gun So it's Francis' advantage that Stipe chose to come in lighter. His coaches wanted him to have more cardio and speed. Their gameplan wasn't a good one for this fight. Because the first fight, Stipe was gassed himself and couldn't get power in his punches to finish Ngannou.
@@GoodStuff1992 Stipe landed bombs on in Francis in the 1st fight before he was gassed and Francis ate them like nothing. In the 1st round too when Stipe was completely fresh

Say what you want, the fact that Stipe ate so many heavy shots from the hardest hitter in combat sports speaks to his chin. He’s definitely undefeated in Bar fights
Stipe is still a small boy to Francis Nganou,he's weak for his strength and African super power
his chin was scattered in this fight. did you not see the ko?
That Overeem lol, though
Legendary
Stipe, a part time fighter ended up becoming the goat of heavyweight.
Came out looking like a completely different fighter from the first time around
Guys I'm sorry, how do you call Stipe the GOAT when Francis decimated him like that, it's not like he was even outpointing him or outsmarting him. Ngannou simply overpowered and out skilled him. That was not close.
" I love kids"- Francis "The Predator" Ngannou
ngannou totally dominated the fight from bell to bell. best title win since serra vs gsp.
HE LANDED ONE LUCKY SHOT 💩💩💩🤡🤡🤡

Two of the nicest people in the sport
I been coming here for weeks now
I can tell what the problems were in the rematch for miocic.
Francis doesn't always rush. I think most people have been fixated on his 1st fight with Stipe that he always bum rushes. It's not always the case
I would love to spar (lightly) with Francis. I want to feel his power but in a controlled way lol.
I'm only a light weight in MMA rules
Middle weight in boxing.
I feel he is an absolute animal, but he has a gentle side.
If you treated him with respect I think he would not kill you during sparring lol
lol bro you're a lunatic. I'm not sparring with Francis. I have sparred with heavyweights no way near as physically gifted as this man. When they hit you with your guard up and you still feel it go through your body no thank you sir. Funny mention there's a clip of Deontay punching Tyson Fury on the top of his head and you can literally see his body ripple.
flawless victory
Damn he got knocked out in the game and in the rematch
2:40 Brutal mortal combat finish shit! 😢😭
We need a Garbrandt vs Cruz best moments
Agreed
That DC ufc game win low key helped DCs ego
Usman is one of the most humble champions ever, ufc champ and he’s saying he will be Ngannou’s water boy, on top of that he lent him 200k
I couldnt stop thinking about Edie Murphy and that movie Coming to America.
Miocic got sent in a coffin back to Ohio
I respect ngannou his resume is amazing stipe .cain.reem .arlovski.stipe twice .blaydes twice
I just realized I don't hear 60% of what stipe says. That's really weird to me.
The KOon Rozenstrik will always be my favorite just bullied him
Francis was pissed.
I want to see the trilogy finale.
Francis was all power first fight he got crazy better in the second fight almost like a Dragon Ball character 😂😂😂 the takedown defense, the kick boxing, the stamina, and combos he became the ultimate weapon i don’t even think heavyweight Jon Jones could stop this version of Francis
Francis's power is the biggest cheat code in UFC history.
0.00 this fight is when Ngannou learned if he touches someone they will die. the confidence from this fight took him to another level and i think he is the best HW ever. altho i would love to see prime cain or prime fedor fight him.
25:36 that didn't age well
Once had a dream Francis beat me to death.🙃
Stipe, good human being, great fighter, terrible champion in the sense he never wanted to play the role of champ
Can we get a Cruz vs Garbrandt Best moments please?
It's like miocic is speaking a different language
Finally damn
It was not fair that the octagon was so small. Clear advantage for Francis. But he has become a great champion. Can't wait to see him in action again
Well if the octagon was small it would have been a disadvantage for both
spicy
The frustration of the UFC contract all laid out on Rozenstruik's chin.
Which is the interview where francis says "I was just trying to smash Stipe like he was nobody."
