I believe they’re not banning all braces. Just the ones they haven’t specifically given a seal of approval to. So, disabled veterans still have options.

@Twiggy yeh. To a smaller extent though. I mean to have to buy a stamp because it’s he barrel us under 16 inches just so I can have normal buttstock is ludicrous. That’s why all this nfa crap is just that- crap and criminals usually don’t apply for nfa stamps, or so I’ve noticed.
Not complying is great. What is even better is preemptive non-compliance, ditch the brace now, get a real stock. They are more comfortable and easier to use.The NFA is an illegal / unconstitutional law, it's time we started acting like it!

everybody that sees this buy a hipoint and duct tape a cheap brace to it and send it in to the atf to find out if it qualifies as a pistol just to waste their time

I'm a paraplegic at T5 level and I use an AR pistol because I can't hold up a full size rifle. There is a need for these braces. It's a good product that has a real purpose.

Read the ATF's ruling on bumpstocks sometime. It can easily be interpreted to mean that all semi-auto firearms are machine guns.

All the brace is a type of aide to stabilize the aim and help the firearm fit more comfortably and properly in the user's grip. It's nonsense to target it as some evil.

People love to say "they can't do that". But they are doing it so clearly they CAN do that. They have no authority to do it but they damn sure have the power. And the reliance on the court system to protect you is dangerously naive. The government has virtually limitless resources to enforce whatever arbitrary rules they make up. There is a reason that federal prosecutors have universal 99% conviction rates, and it's not because everybody they charge is actually guilty.

The Second Amendment community in America is so fractured that's the biggest problem. All of us together need to unite and stand up and care about what each other's interests are. Milsurp people, tactical people, shotgun people, pistol people we all need to come together these are all our rights that are being infringed.
A firearm doesn’t require a pistol brace to function AT ALL. The things didn’t even exist past 15 years ago. How is it your right to own a pistol brace and how are your rights being infringed by the banning of something that had zero constitutional protection? “Bearing arms” isn’t even mutually exclusive to “fire”arms to begin with. Do you EDC a knife? There’s your “arms”.............................

@Ryan Wilson I’ve noticed you’ve interjected your opinion a lot in the comment section....most of which is unfounded / incorrect in terms of the Constitutional precedence......you need to slow down and educate yourself......it was determined by several rulings that equal rights are afforded to civilians as is the US-military (the NFA has only existed in recent times as has the ATF)......one of such examples was privateers buying cannons from the US-navy to protect there merchant ships from pirates......by that metric you should be able to protect property with lethal force given any equipment the military has access too......therefore I should be able to buy some claymores to protect my home from burglary when away for the holidays (deff more effective than Simply-Safe lol)......what I just stated may seem very extreme but, it frames just how far we’ve strayed from the 2nd amendments original interpretation.....now were to the point that your arguing that it’s not a big deal if they ban a pice of plastic / rubber (a brace).....people with your viewpoints are the reason the right to own ANYTHING that could be deemed as remotely dangerous, regardless of its purpose, will eventually be regulated / banned.

The bUmpstock case that Chad mentioned, the bumpstock wasnt deemed not MG, the charge was dropped because they didnt want on record how a bumpstock is not a MG.

The BATFE got kicked in the nuts with “braces”. The brace is a great design for a challenged shooter. That’s why they let them fly in the first place. They saw that most of them were not being used as a brace, but to circumvent the NFA. They said that you couldn’t shoulder a brace. They realized that they can’t dictate how you shoot a handgun, and they reversed the shouldering interpretation. They are upset about the braces in general. They saw something in the honey badger marketing that probably looked like it was suggesting that it was made to shoulder. If it is made to shoulder, it’s a rifle. If it’s made to be a pistol stabilization brace, it doesn’t matter how you shoot it as the end user.
They’re a bunch of petty, asinine, individuals. They’re not trying to prevent crime. They’re trying to force compliancy. It’s an Eric Cartmen “Respect my authoritah!”

In Canada, the Canadian military just purchased the COLT CANADA, SEMI-AUTOMATIC SNIPER RIFLE, C20, 7.62X51MM for its sniper programme, at ~$24K CDN each, I would love to see an episode on the differences between consumer and military based rifles. I know a lot of the cost goes in to the DND testing and certification. Maybe you already did an episode and I missed. Thanks.
I still believe OUR Constitution and BILL of Rights are the UNIVERSAL Law of OUR country. Second amendment definitely states "the RIGHT to keep and bare arms shall NOT be INFRINGED"!

I've looked for the actual letter from Senators to the BATFE, al I've been able to find are articles ABOUT the letter. I was curious if my Senators signed.

I don't even live in Georgia and I keep getting texts from there about registering for a mail-in vote in your runoff election. I asked if I could vote in person and get mail in vote as well so I could vote twice to make sure McCain wouldn't get in office. They never addressed McCain but did ask if I would still like to mail in my vote.

The fact that no one has stepped forward to assert our second amendment duty say's it all. People are lazy and afraid to be labeled a domestic terrorist and the rest of the population is to stupid to realize that's not actually the case because they're also ignorant of the constitution. We all should be able to own actual machine guns with full auto and *almost* anything else the military has.
Pretty hard to keep people in check when they have access to better firepower than you and me.
Yep, you nailed it. There is no chance of a peace resolution here, it will come to blows, that much is absolutely confirmed. The problem isn't the American people, it's what has been done to the American people over the course of over a hundred long years, they've made us comfortable, but at the same time they've overtly tied that comfort to blind obedience under the threat of death. I'm ready to fight, and many are likewise ready to light this fuse.

Just like making a rifle featureless, all you have to do is put an ungrippable grip on there, and take of the flash suppresser. So in their brilliance a gun that's harder to control that shoots fireballs is good. It makes the rifle MORE DANGEROUS
