You mean kinda like the Lewis gun based laser rifle used by the stormtroopers chasing after Han Solo and company as they boarded the Millennium Falcon to escape?
I love all the systems they came up with in the early days of semi automatic pistols when they were first trying to figure it out. You can see the lineage of modern handguns from John Browning's designs, FNs and Berettas but then there is this plethora of beautifully quirky weapons like the Roth-Krnka.
I had a crappy gun instructor that told the class "there are no pistols which are reloaded using clips." He kinda freaked out when I told him that's not true. Of course I had to qualify that with stating they're older guns.
@@sveinarnehaugen4851 I'm pretty sure this particular instructor was done learning anything. After all, he'd been with the Department of Homeland Security for 20+ years and was the greatest thing since sliced bread (according to him anyway). His class was almost as fascinating as watching paint dry. He was more interested in pumping himself up than helping his students. Definitely won't be taking additional classes.
I love these Minutes of Mae. They are incredibly instructive and efficient. No long-winded talking - just the facts presented in a concise manner. I subscribed because of these.
I've discovered these videos only recently. Two observations: The array of unique and interesting arms being demonstrated is just fascinating. The second observation is that Mae has been making these videos for at least 4 years and hasn't seemed to age a single day.
I love the design of this pistol. To me it is aesthetically pleasing and appears to be very functional, given its limited cartridge. I even bought vol one of the books on Austrian Self Loading Pistols to learn more....... thanks to Google translate, as I cannot read German.
why would you want that thats like asking, man i wish we still had blowforward guns, some things are just simply the best. Unless you want gyrojets and electric fired primers.. which theres a reason those never took off man.
I loved your video on this piece especially since I have the one a relative carried in WWI along with it's holster and two strippers of original ammo in their "combat prepped" cardboard boxes.
Really nice to see someone fire this. (Well, most of the first generation Semi-autos are weird. Even the Luger, and Mausers are weird, they're just the Weird that most people are familiar with.)
Under baked eh? Well, I think Herr Glock figured out how long it needed. (I'll still take the Browning derived CZ75B over anything but that's a separate story)
Make it 90 second and speak a little slower. All this old tools will think you! Yes most kids today are fast, but a field strip to each weapon would be great! Otherwise please go on with this series. It's amazing to see tool more then a century old still working.
Love these funky old pistols, no magazines, just stripper clips, absolutely strange barrels and aesthetics. Incredible.
No detachable magazines, anyway. :P
This and the C96 are so steampunk, I love them
and then there's the Borchardt C-93. that's weird on its own league
Looks like something you'd see in Star Wars, but without any kind of modification
I'm glad I'm not the only one who saw that. ROFL
Please,if anyone here will be involved in creating a fan fiml or something official, use this one for a new blaster.
Definitely on the list.
I was thinking it should be on the Madalorian.

Mae talks almost as fast as the “fine print”’ at the end of car dealership radio commercials.
She has to condense an entire Primer episodes into just 60 seconds. LOL!!!!
She recommends running the video on 0.5x speed if you want to watch 2 minutes of drunk, Southern Mae.
The background music doesn't help either.
@@r.l.royalljr.3905 I did and she does !
Which sucks because in her older videos she spoke at a slower pace

Even this one’s firing mechanism would have a future. That aspect paired with a Browning style tilting barrel IS the Glock
My absolute favorite firearm of all time.

How did he end up as a gun instructor without knowing of the C96 at the very least?
Isn't it mandatory for all guninstructors to watch all the videos from Gun Jesus? It should be...

I remember the old forgotten weapons video of Ian using this at a match. The clips did load strikingly fast.
And awaaaay I go...
I love these! 8mm Roth-Steyr is being added to the obsolete calibre list in the UK so they can be owned license-free.....but not shot 😩
Sad news. I'm sure a Canada will be going down the path of no guns too. Very sad times
Indeed, just picked mine up for a steal!
This was my grandfather's side arm during World war 1 when he served in the Austrian artillery corps.
Oh no! The Austrians have a paintball gun!

My favorite minute of the day.
I'm guessing Mae gets everything she wants, come home late and it's under sustained fire.
Have you seen her groups? I'm not getting in any fire fights against the belle of the range!
I enjoy these videos ! Happy New Year !

Have you ever thought about doing a review on the history of pcp air rifles in war . I had no idea they were used during war time in the 1700's
Yes indeed. They were considered so deadly and unsporting that those caught using them were often summarily executed.
Ehh what now ?
@@gusty9053 look up Girardoni Air Gun (original 1780 example) from Forgotten Weapons and get some history .
@@georgedeedsnotwords2162 Will do. Thanks :)
Don't take PCP dude ... bad trip man.
Happy New Year!!
Happy New Year , Mae.♥️

A lot of the early semi-autos are the epitome of “pulling up with that contraption”
I think I'd take the later Steyr-Hahn over the Roth-Krnka. I'd need both for comparison to be sure.
The Nuff gun Channel is back.
Great gun one of my top 10.
Happy New Year 🎉 🍾🥂
I like these old semi-auto pistols that load via stripper clips.
That audible 'click' from the trigger cocking the striker.
Excellent - off to watch the full video now
Commenting for support
Great description - thanks awesome Mae!
С наступающим 2021!!!!!🎉🎄🎁🎆🎇🎄
Big fan of Mae !
Sometimes I wish I had time to watch the full back catalog
I love these shorts

Wish there were more methods of pistol operation than Browning, Beretta, and blowback today.
why would you want that thats like asking, man i wish we still had blowforward guns, some things are just simply the best. Unless you want gyrojets and electric fired primers.. which theres a reason those never took off man.
This thing look like it was built by a revolutionary out of a power tool, i love it
Despite their awkward appearance they fit the hand really well. Shame the clips are so expensive/rare
Mighty fine space blaster you got there.

Thank you and happy New Year
I enjoyed this video
Good info, but also listing approximate year of manufacture would be nice.
greetings from Turkey
such a cool looking pistol

Happy new year all.

Kudos to Fiocchi for still loading this round. I wonder who their market is
Makes you wonder what a post 1918 Austria-Hungary might have developed.
This looks surprisingly cool. Throw this thing in blade runner any day.
I think I saw this one in Youjo Senki
It's uglily beautiful
I love it
I love her
The yeti needs a an hour, Mae a minute!
Good information on my phone
I’d love to own one someday.
Mae’s recap description could have been for a Krnka-Glock G48.
I wonder if the safety mechanism later inspired Gaston Glock to implement something similar.
You're gonna have a bad time.
I love south park puns. I love Mae.
Has this appeared in any Star Wars movies or series as a blaster? It looks the part, doesn't it?
Mae sounds like a gun salesman.
I snorted at 'shooting .380 out of a 1911'...
Despite the weirdness, I’d take this over most pistols/revolvers shown in the series.
it looks like a bolt gun for dispatching cattle.
Maeさん新年おめでとうございます 最初がRoth-Krnka
きっといい年になります
Why does every Austro Hungarian pistol look like it could be in a steam punk world with little to no modifications, and no one would bat an eye?
Would like to see what J. M. Browning would have done to this pistol (besides scrapping it).
What about a SPRINGFIELD TRAPDOOR 45 70 VIDEO!!!!!!!
Big gun... and people were smaller when this was made.
Please, make the vídeo of the Mondragón rifle
Algorythm comment! Also happy new year!
Recoil quite strong....Couldn't reload quickly..
It seems like the old style of european pistol, more for enforcing the officer's authority than any sort of actual fighting
So give it to Mandalorian Season 3
Under baked eh? Well, I think Herr Glock figured out how long it needed.
(I'll still take the Browning derived CZ75B over anything but that's a separate story)
Can you do one on the martini Henry?
Your so lucky ... You get to shoot the coolest guns ever ... If I only had the money !
It's another space gun alright. But it feels underpowered because you had it set for stun !
But remember.. NO disintegrations !

The sights aren't tall, that bore axis however...
Must be a pain to load under fire
Hmmm freshly baked pistol

I love the night life , I've got to boogie
i love you mae ; )
Commenting because of space gun and the algorithm
Ah, the great overengineering practices of early semiautos.
BLUF: There are many good reasons why it is no longer in production.
Looks dangers
Slow down Miss. Goodness, what’s the rush?
dr suess looking gun
Neat
Where do you get the weapons at to shoot
My face when you realize stripper clips cost around $150 each
Dang! I want to make copyes of em now and sell as much as possible.
@@davitdavid7165 make them quality....not like some of the mosin clips.

How did this get Monetized?

There must be something in the water to make Austro-Hungarians so big.

Well, fuck.
