    The F50 is one of the best layouts of all time for a comfortable world cruiser. It has been my favorite for decades. It isn't fast but speed isn't everything, comfort is.

      We totally agree. After being on many different boats we thought it offered privacy to crew members while also being comfortable, airy, and a warm rich environment. Thanks for watching and make sure to subscribe we have many more boats coming! Carl & Yulia

    I wonder what the yearly maintenance costs are and how many hours work?

    • @davidbarten7429

      Formosa 51, Hudson Force 50, Mickelson 50 all had the hull, only the Hudson and Mickelson had this deck layout, the Mickelson had a different interior layout, but equally as nice. Also - the Mickelsons were all Cutters.

    May I ask, after the initial buying price, how do the costs of owning a boat like this scale up per foot? So, compared to a 35 or 40 foot boat, does it become disproportionately/exponentially more expensive to own?

    • @BoatTourTv
      @BoatTourTv  Před 3 lety +1

      Hi Andy, great question. I think they say the average is 10% a year for maintenance of the cost of the vessel. For us. the major cost for a vessel as it get s bigger is the marina charges. I don't think necessarily the cost gets more per foot for maintenance. but your time spending on work would drastically go up. For us owning a 40' compared to Dave at 50 ' is going to be about $250 more a month in slip fees. Did that answer your question? Thanks for watching, we really appreciate it!

    • @twoHRdrive
      @twoHRdrive Před 3 lety +1

    • @BoatTourTv
      @BoatTourTv  Před 3 lety +1

      Thanks Andy, glad we could answer the question. Keep an eye out for new videos, we have two owners perspectives coming out soon on a 40' Ed Monk Trawler and a 47' Lagoon Cat, we really get in the owners "heads" and found out the reasons they chose their vessels, what they love about them, and what they don't like. Thanks again for your support!

    • @stephenburnage7687
      @stephenburnage7687 Před 3 lety +1

      Believe me, costs go up exponentially, not linearly. Assume a 40ft costs twice as much as a 32ft and half the cost of a 50ft.

    • @stephenburnage7687
      @stephenburnage7687 Před 3 lety

      New boat buyers always underestimate maintenance costs. Apart from marina and insurance fees, assume 10% in maintenance and upgrades.
