No part was the ottoman empire mentioned where they attacked the British and tried to reinforce rule in Persia and deals were drawn up as a result of the Persian campaign and ottoman defeat.
Britain also supplied men and arms to defeat the Russians when they kept attacking the region. You can't buy in help and then go back on the deal once the help isn't needed any more. That's like paying a builder to build a house and not pay him on the agreed fee.

Ottoman empire lost as the UK helped the local Persians and the Arabians to over throw the ottoman empire rulers.
UK did not own the new countries it came to an agreement where arm's and tech would be traded for oil. Iran needed uks help when Russia invaded.

I think a lot of the American people believe they are righteous because their media tells them stories as such without revealing the reality of a situation...
The public isn't necessarily to blame but the system that is running the public, i.e. the government is sheerly responsible for it... If someone has the correct resources then it's quite easy to sway the mindset of the general population...

When I worked at the United Nations, I went to Iran twice. The second time I added on a few days to visit Esfahan, one of the most amazing cities I have seen. My travels took me to Teheran, the Zagros Mountains in the southwest, Ahwaz, Persepolis, Esfahan and several smaller towns. At every stop, the Iranians I met were warm, hospitable people. And lest you think it was because I accompanied by government officials, I would often go out in the evenings on my own. The people with whom I spoke were intelligent, curious and knowledgeable about the state of affairs in the world.
I know that government there is autocratic and that many people are being oppressed. But the way the US is going about things is utterly unproductive. If attacked, people will just rally around their country as people anywhere would do. The way to bring about change is to engage with Iran. That is the way to bring about change that will one day, one hopes, let them have a democratically elected government (like they had before the US interfered).

They involved themselves in the WWII in the las minute not because of the deaths or the destruction or the rumors of the atrocities, but because they were directly attacked. And because they knew that, just like it happened in WWI, their soils wouldn't be touched by the war like Europe or Africa or Asia. And, of course, it would be good for the armaments industry.

To be fair, the various countries that have been in power in the current Iran can hardly be called 'always peaceful'. Persians invaded Greece, Scythia, Afghanistan and India, the Sassanids feuded with almost all their neighbors, Romans included. Assyrians, Babylonians, Medians, Egyptians and Turks might also have a differing opinion about ever-lasting peace on national borders.
Iran definitely has an old and great history, but it's not one of pacifism and respect of other nations sovereignty.

Prince Reza Pahlavi I thought it was rather clear. The people of Iran, throughout its long and magnificent history, have not been strangers to offensive wars and disrespect of the sovereignty of other nations.
Unless, of course, you think that the Greeks have been Persians all along, which would be a bit peculiar view to have.
TL;DR Persians, in modern terms Iranians have attacked and conquered a great deal of non-Persian nations.

    • @kingiking110
      @kingiking110 Před 6 lety +1

Miska Kopperoinen Well yes but where did Iran's wealth and all the great persian empires powers come from? Non of the Persian empires were based on an offensive type of "attack and sack " strategy only . Iranian were always and historically known as merchants (which is mostly because of the unique geopolitics of Iran that is located as a crossroad between the three continents) and NOT warriors. Yes all wealthy and powerful nations had jealous enemies and sometimes the only way to deal with an enemy is to be aggresive. But iranians didn't thrive by attacking and killing their neighbours. But they got rich and powerful in the first place by staying in peace with their neighbours and trading with them. Persian kings spent on constructing roads and bridges and keeping them safe, way more than on recruiting and making wars. Thats what makes iranians and their history overall peaceful (and i am no historian, im just saying what i have read in history books.) You can definitely find other nations in history whose foundation was only based on war and bloodlust and next to them: i'd say iranians were a fairly peaceful nation.

This type of thing has happened everywhere. In Africa it was Zaire (Democratic Republic of Congo now) Mozambique, Angola etc. They ensured that elected leaders who were not dancing to their tune were deposed off quickly and in some cases executed. Many of these countries had civil wars for decades. These countries still have lots of problems because of America and Britain. Even apartheid in South Africa lasted that long because of the same. Margaret Thatcher called Nelson Mandela a terrorist (why, because most of the platinum, gold then and uranium). And then these two countries have the audacity to talk about democracy when they ensure that these countries don't actually become stable because it is in their interest to keep it that way.

If everyone had them, then it would be a check on Human stupidity. Situations like what is happening pretty much across the globe, could have been avoided if everyone had Nukes. When the world gets to the tipping point of Crazy, then everyone sets off their Nukes, and the world starts again. For Evolutionists a radiation resistant species will develop out of the Primordial Soup, for Creationists God will make a new set of radiophilic species. And for the Nihilists who the f@ck cares.
For the size of Brain and with opposable digits, humans are one of the dumbest creatures on the planet. It is a self limited species that destroys the habitat it needs to survive, it cannot interact synergistically inter/intra species, and it breeds stupidity into its generations. The Human species has proven itself to be incompatible with life, so its about time it gave way to another superior species, albeit to allow others to evolve, or for God to create a much more intelligent design (either way the physical structure that developed was good, just the control unit and software that f@cked up).

You can't make friends with soulless Merchants, that's what the US (or at least it's army) is = always pay tribute to the highest bidder, Europe enjoyed the "pole position" spot for like 30 years, now overtook by the Saudis and the "westerners" already paid the price for taking such an ally into trustworthy
Who knows, I may be wrong but if anything I can kinda foresee in about 15 or so years the US of A will start "exposing" the enemies of China in it's region rly.. The only question remains = what is done with the TRILLIONS AND TRILLIONS of $$ that those "bidders" pay for the service
