- In this video we look at the Hikvision's Remote Backup Tool
Remote Backup software can back up the video files stored in the device and save the video files to the local disk. You can add the devices to the software and configure the backup settings. Then you can start backup manually, or set backup schedule and the backup will start automatically according to the schedule.

Hello, with this version is it possible to save backups of two NVRs (64 channels) whole week from Monday to Sunday from 00:00 to 23:59? Overwrite files every day?

Hi and thanks, actually the Turbo DVR units can do event backup to the dropbox, google drive and Microsoft one drive , there are the only current supported platforms 😊

how to use remote backup from NVR to NAS Synology ??
if I set auto backup for more than 1 day, say 7 days and set to run every day (whole week),
will it duplicate the backup file every day or will it check for missing day videos and download the requried ones only?
basically it wont download the time frame video every day right??

I am trying to save these to a gdrive which I have mapped on my computer. It gives an error " Writing data into the disk failed "

Gdrive is mapped via a network drive
while using this software one error is come 3months 6days completed auto backup successfully but suddenly after that its showing error create storage error. and when i click on the remote backup icon for checking setting why it comes then it have showing backup already running, folder name date wise is also changed.
Hello, i´m looking to backup not the images saved by the cameras, for this i have the Hikvision Storage, i would like to know, if is possible to make a config backups for the HikCentral, NVR, Stogares and Cameras, i didn´t find anyplace to make a auto backup, only a manual backup, device per device, is it possible?? If i have a crash in any device i get a spare and put to work asap. Thanks
sure under each device , system and maintaince you can backup the unit configuration settings as needed, under HIK-Central the process is automatic for hik central configuration but needs you to change it if required under backup settings
@@DVSLTD but on Hik Central it will backup the config of ALL cameras, NVR, and other devices under it or only for HIK? i have projetct with almost 700 cameras, i can´t make a backup device per device.
@@gccarvalho the HIK-Central backup is just for the devices and config of HIK-Central , for each device itself please go to maintaince on the device and then backup configuration

I am trying to Backup or at least mass copy the images off of my remote SD Card inside the camera. My Camera is mounted up high, so I dont want to climb a ladder everytime I want to copy the SD card. Is there a way to do this?
could you not have the access lead at the bottom in a locked box?
@@DVSLTD no that’s inconvenient. There should be a programmatic or command line way to access the sd card. Surprised that this hasn’t been thought about

@@DVSLTD No. I can pull down imagery for only like 50 images, events and metadata, remotely. I want to be able to copy all of the events/images/metadata. I have thousands of events on the SD card. Being to able to remotely access the SD card is a fundamental capability.
Having said that I am trying to see how I can do that via the ISAPI. But the documentation is close to non-existent.
Hi, trying to setup remote backup with a DS-7732NI-I4 (using the same software version) and receiving the following error .. "adding failed: operating database failed" I have tried several versions / computers. NVR version V4.40.010 build 200430 ... Any ideas ? Regards
Hi max, I have just added a I series NVR on v4.4.40.010 build 200430 , it added straight away and allowed me to configure the backup , so you can’t even add the NVR?
@@DVSLTD Hi, I have tried 2 Windows 10 computers and the same error "adding failed: operating database failed" appears on both when trying to add the NVR IP address. I can add the cameras manual but not the NVR. Thanks for the reply.
How can we download the 3 hour recording of a camera in single file from hikvision nvr.As packet size is set to 60 minutes.
You can use the VSplayer and merge the files after but again that also has a file size capacity , so if its over this it might have to be a couple of video files

I set this up on my laptop to test it out and got it working with a network drive, but I can not get the exact same settings to work from a desktop. I keep getting the "Writing data into the disk failed." message. Any hints or tips on getting this to work with a network drive reliably?

At the top right corner, click configure, then select disk
I solved it by using a SYMLINK
How can I recover all the lost data, my employee stole the hard disk and system is offline now. But i want recover all the recorded data. Could you please help
if the HDD has been stolen that has the Data on this , then sadly we have nothing to recover ☹
It is quite strange to ask for the name of a manual backup if this is a one-time operation and you will have to re-create the procedure next time. ))
That's a has failed for me. Won't work with two NVRs so far. Even got Hikvision Australia involved and their stumped. There is recordings, but the fail notice says nothing to save.
Hi , not seen it fail myself, assume the units are added by IP and ports open that are required?, if hik-connect is enabled make sure image encryption option is off

I have a challenge. When adding a device, I keep getting "Adding failed. User is locked"
Reboot the device and the lock will be released , its because the illegal login attemps is set and locking it out for 30mins
Is there a way to configure the NVR to backup to a cloud storage solution like Google Drive, One Drive or an AWS service?
