    Do they only sell these in Florida? I didn’t find them in California. I’m cooking these now but with monk fruit/erythotol sweetener. Hope it works!

    Can I make them ahead of time and reheat them in the oven? Or will it not be as good as fresh?

    • @TheDisneyDish
      @TheDisneyDish  Před 3 lety +1

      These are great reheated. We've even brought them home from our Disney trip and reheated them at home.

    Can you make this without the egg whites? Or what’s a good substitute?

    • @donnatmalik
      @donnatmalik Před 10 měsíci

      Yes! Egg whites work fine.

    • @TheDisneyDish
      @TheDisneyDish  Před 9 měsíci

      I've honestly never tried. The egg whites bind the sugar to the nuts and helps create the crunch. I've read that aquafaba is a good substitute, but I'm not familiar with it personally. If I find something that works, I'll add it here. If you do, please let us know.

    I followed to a tee and the nuts were burned. Maybe the convection oven was too hot? Should I have started with raw nuts instead of roasted?

    • @markusaralius
      @markusaralius Před rokem

      I know your question is a month old but if you haven't got a answer yet...yes, use raw almonds. Also, if you use convection, lower the temp by 25⁰ or just bake at the started temp without the convection fans running, non convection. Good luck.

    • @TheDisneyDish
      @TheDisneyDish  Před rokem

      @@markusaralius Thank you for jumping in.
      We make these all the time but have never used raw. We typically use the bake setting. I would agree that lowering the temp if using a convection oven is a good suggestion. The other reason I would not suggest the raw nuts is that this is only meant to dry the coating. It is not mean to cook nuts, so I would be careful with that.
