Pruning Grape Vines Part 2

In this video we will discuss how to prune grape vines that are growing over a covered deck or pergola.
In a previous video we discussed the basics to grape vine pruning:

In this video we will take the basics and apply it to a more difficult scenario. It is important to have a good sturdy trunk from which will grow secondary vines. Each support on the pergola will have one secondary (one year old) vine with a secondary vine with tertieray (two year old) growth parallel to the first. When a vine grows fourth level growth, it is time to remove that vine.

I wish I had time to go back and inspect trees and vines after I'm done pruning. I have to trust my customers when they tell me they had the best harvest ever.
