    Great video, just have a question, I'm installing a new shift cable, I have the tool kit for adjustment however I'm not sure if the shift control has to be on neutral or forward or reverse?

    Is there a part number for the shift cable snake tool to feed the new cable thru the gimbel to the inside?

    Thank You!!

    Unlike the Alpha drives the Bravo's do not use a gasket. Rather they have O-Rings that seal all of the required passages.

    Do you use the little metal jumpers between the below clamp and housing? Do you use the adhesive on all or just on the belows l?

    In what order do you put everything back on the bell housing?

    How does one take the water inlet hose loose form the transom? This is on a Bravo 3 5.7 Mirage travore

    Did the bellow get slipped in on the first or second groove to the bell housing???

    Do the replacement of shift cable always happen with the bellows as well?

    Same as the other two videos. You seem to leave the installation of specific items out. Did you have too much trouble?

    I see there were 2 types of exhaust bellows. Which should you use? and why. How do the exhaust bellows connect to the bell housing or drive unit?

    • @tedk9144
      @tedk9144 Před 3 lety

      The exhaust tube is MUCH EASIER as it only clamps on one end (transom side) and just automatically "connects" to the bell housing when you trim down the drive. Many people also like that it is very flexible and can be pushed to the side if you want to inspect the underside of the u-joint bellow. The ribbed style exhaust bellow does not allow this. If you do a bit of looking, you will find that the exhaust bellow or tube is technically not required as the water can't flow upward into the motor by defying gravity. It's really just to help muffle exhaust sound a bit.

    Do we have to hammer the hell out of the inner race of that brand new bearing? Might as well go ahead and pull it right back out again.
