My mixed race uncle who has a white mum (my nan) sat me down and asked me if I hate black men because my sons father is white 😐. The audacity. I get shit from black people all the time, black men in particular I find. There's a bitterness. l've been DRAGGED when theyve physically seen me with my sons father. I've never had anyone ask me if I'm my sons mother but we aren't far off from being the same complexion. I'd be pissed if someone just assumed I wasn't his mum because he's lighter.

I’m bi-racial (my father is white and my mother is black); I’m 48 yrs. old and to this day, whenever I see an interracial couple, I wonder if they’ve only dated that race. My father primarily dated black women; my mom primarily dated white men. I’m always curious to know even though I’m bi-racial. That’s just me personally. Not necessarily...with mixed kids(half black and half something else), the child's skin tone is usually in between their parents' skin tone. It's extremely rare for the child to be lighter than the lightest parent or darker than the darkest parent. I know from experience, I'm mixed myself(half black, half Mexican).

So it's true, I think what matters is the attitude we have towards people. Some people are just curious, but we all need to educate ourselves on how to approach strangers ; they will end up labelling you racist even when your intentions weren't anything close to that.
My grandson is biracial but you can not tell he is his dad's color and the only trace of black is curls in his hair. I have been asked by both races if he was my grandson. I had one lady tree ying to look at his eyes trying to see if he was albino! I just proudly reply YES!!! Even my dad would ask (he had alzheimer's) he'd ask whose that white boy? My godchildren are also biracial and I had a lady ask me why are they so white? I replied their mom is white! People at like it's a phenomin!

Lived in the USA 5 years, hardly ever saw BW/WM couples. Lived in UK and Europe few years and saw plenty BW/WM couples. Anyone know why that is? American's didn't seem close minded, plus I saw a good amount of BM/WW couples.
Slavery caused black communities and families to stigmatize BW/WM relationships. Though BM involved with any race is widely seen, accepted/tolerated. This is due to BM driving the narrative of BW not dating outside their race.
This was a great and I can relate to some of these questions as my son is bi-racial. I remember once someone asked if my son’s father was Asian because at the time his hair wasn’t curly yet. ❤️❤️❤️

And I don't think you're the only one that feel this way. As long as the man loves you and you love him, you have a great connection, then don't worry about the race. They'll be people that don't get it but you aren't living life for them. That's how I look at it. ♥️♥️♥️

Not necessarily...with mixed kids(half black and half something else), the child's skin tone is usually in between their parents' skin tone. It's extremely rare for the child to be lighter than the lightest parent or darker than the darkest parent. I know from experience, I'm mixed myself(half black, half Mexican).

My grandson is biracial but you can not tell he is his dad's color and the only trace of black is curls in his hair. I have been asked by both races if he was my grandson. I had one lady tree ying to look at his eyes trying to see if he was albino! I just proudly reply YES!!!

My godchildren are also biracial and I had a lady ask me why are they so white? I replied their mom is white! People at like it's a phenomin!

Lived in the USA 5 years, hardly ever saw BW/WM couples. Lived in UK and Europe few years and saw plenty BW/WM couples. Anyone know why that is? American's didn't seem close minded, plus I saw a good amount of BM/WW couples.
A lot of American black women are (race loyal) unfortunately, and non-black men don’t approach them because they assume they only like black men.
Slavery caused black communities and families to stigmatize BW/WM relationships. Though BM involved with any race is widely seen, accepted/tolerated. This is due to BM driving the narrative of BW not dating outside their race.
