I'm an Australian with a European heritage and was married, divorced now, to a Chileno man from Chile. Who has Maputche heritage as well as Spanish. So basically I'm white with blue eyes, blonde hair and he's dark skinned, not black, with dark eyes and very thick curly hair. We have 2 beautiful children who are stunning looking, but I'm biased I guess lol. Being in Australia we never had any issues with people judging or questioning us and were always accepted as a couple without negativity at all. Australia is very different when it comes to this subject. It seems a huge thing in North America. Hopefully not so much in Canada. I embraced the Chilean culture and always included the music, food, history so that my kids knew about that part of themselves. As well as travelling there so they could meet their family and experience the country. It was never a challenging or horrible experience being an interracial couple here.

As a black man I'm jealous of the increase and trend of black women with white men. Some of the prettiest sistas are with white boys and it's all over TV and movies.
A big part of white privilege is the luxury and comfort of just saying "I don't worry about x' My biggest piece of advice to the husband is that you should not be conformable or settled with a feeling of "I don't worry" As her husband, acknowledge and take on her worries. Otherwise, you believe her worries are unwarranted or unnecessary. You just have to belive that her worries are not from thin air. They come from a legitimate place
