he's more like dirk. Both are lethal offensive bigs that can shoot from anywhere on the floor. Duncan was more a defensive beast with strong offense in the paint.

Also this season jokic is averaging more points than dirk ever did in any season in his whole career. And jokic is a way way way better passer and playmaker, which is important for team offense. That all being said, I doubt anyone though that he would be an almost unanimous MVP, and a potential back to back MVP winner. Everyone knew he was a great player and full of potential. But how he was able to evolve both his game and his body is truly amazing, and I doubt most people saw the true extent of his greatness. I mean there's what? 10-15 players with multiple MVP and all of them are hall of famers, and all of them NBA champions (I think apart from Malone and Nash). If he wins back to back his company is going to be guys like Duncan, Malone, Curry and Giannis - That's saying something. So again, I doubt anyone really saw this coming. But at the same time I think most of us expected both him and Doncic to do well in the NBA
