JCVD always has an odd cadence speaking in english (remember, this is his second language, he's Belgian) which is something I think people forget.
Belgian is not a language. People from Belgium speak German, French and/or Dutch

I do agree that some lines could’ve used a retake so he could give a better delivery, but that doesn’t mean he didn’t still sound great with some of these!

I don't think he did all of the base game lines, if you look at the full montages of the lines, the JCVD one is like 10 minutes long while the other characters are like 30 minutes long
It's still so hard for me to see JC as Johhny Cage, I keep connecting him with Frank Dux, which then makes his dialog real strange :P
Seeing Frank Dux fight in mortal kombat is even cooler than seeing Johnny cage.
