I’m having the exact same issue. I was in the middle of a corporate shoot today and it shut off, the fan came on and and fan won’t go off unless I remove battery. Red light and fan stay on with power switch off. Same identical issue. Were you able to resolve it? I’ve got a full 2 weeks of shoots booked and a non functional camera 😬

I got a 2 year warranty just in case

7.9 update bricked my 4k. Any suggestions?
Been waiting for3ver and now right out of the box the touchscreen goes haywire. Jumping through all the menu items then not allowing any touch. Bloody annoying.
That stinks about the battery issue. I've heard great things about that camera but have a friend who had the same problem and had to RMA the camera. They are still waiting for the replacement.
Yeah it was really disappointing. good news is that I have a new one coming this week which i am shocked about because of the expected wait times on these.

I have second thoughts about this camera...people talking about they "hope the camera holds up for at least 3 years" what is this? spending more than a thousand for hopes? I mean...i'm seriously considering another camera but I really want this one.. how can I go wrong?

@@TheTechVaultPeople brake battery hood ,because buy unbranded battery no correct size,I had same problem now exchanged camera ,use battery only from Canon no more problem
Should be able to improve the battery life with updating to the latest firmware. Warranties are worth it and you should be able to send it back and get it replaced. No big problem there. Its obviously so freaking popular that they are now sending out the prototypes as well to meet the growing demand???? jk 😆 I'm sure BM have quality control measures.

QUESTION, How long did you have it before it faild. There's going to be Lemons & Semi-Lemons, no matter what the product particularly when you're manufacturing millions of units.

Yours is the 3rd one I've seen on line that failed. So that means there are many more. Hope mine holds up for at least! 3 years before the second generation of this insanely amazing Cinema tool comes out.
I got the camera for less than a month. The camera's power supply has a problem. But the dealer won't let me replace it. Just ask me to send the camera back to BMD. I can only send it back to BMD for repair. I need to pay extra shipping. This allows I am very angry. This service attitude is too bad.
I can't believe the dealer won't replace it with the purchase being under a month! I hope the best for your camera and that you get a new one quickly from BMD.

Yep I heard that from a lot of people they had problems with theyr canera. Mine thaks God is still working after a month of using it.
