The 2002 Drum Corps International season ended with a record high score at the World Class Finals, when the Cavaliers pulled off a 99.15 to go undefeated for the season, winning their third DCI title in a row. It was DCI's 30th anniversary held in Madison, Wis., just a few dozen miles from where it all began in Whitewater in 1972.

I can see why this show is critically acclaimed. Not only is the drum break super iconic, but the entire musical selection is original as well, which is incredibly rare for DCI. Frameworks is one of my top 5 DCI shows, and for good reason!
This show is the best show in DCi history and for good reasons.

@@aaronlaughlin2389 i still think cavies 2002 is still the best even after BD2014. Maybe because i dont have that much emotional and musical connections to BD like i do with PR, Cavies, and Crown. I actually prefer 2013 than 2014 for BD. Mainly because Rite of Spring is one of my fav ballets of all time.

Someone could have gotten seriously ill or injured, I dunno. But even with that hole, highest score in DCI history says something for sure.
I think they left that open on purpose - that's where the brass line enters the frame. check out 1:11.

This show was so simple and it was the highest scored show until the blue devils took that spot.
Matthews favorite show is probably Phantom 2003 and 2008 lol. Those two weak shows. 2008 barely won. Probably because the crowd would have rioted if they didn't let that bouncing corps win.
