Hello again. Regarding the copper penny, I got that tip from Cumberland Outdoors. I removed my rust by just rubbing metal to metal, If the pitting is pretty bad, you can dip the penny in a solvent like kerosene to loosen the deposits. This is my second channel with a little more interesting content. It is not a money maker and I am not soliciting business.

I love that era of Diana’s.
I have T05 D24 in .22 I bought in 2003, amazing trigger, same wood finish, and just wood butt no pad.
I love the exposed breech block look, everyone recesses the block back into the stock nowadays.
That’s a heck of a deal, and the refinishing will be fun and rewarding.

Yes, it is well broke in.
Now, I have been through the rifle, inside is clean, but the outside needs some serious cleaning.

Nice purchase, one can't go wrong with a German Diana.
And you have the advantage of being able to tinker it yourself.
I have been thinking of getting an inexpensive B3 to start myself.

      Thank you Anton.😃👍
I did some serious work on the outside and especially the internals. Scoped it and went out with Christopher for a short shoot and it was stacking pellets at about 23 yards.

@@springpistonriflefeverlone9611 that's amazing Chuck!!! Not only are the Diana's top quality but I think their barrels are really good too. My 48 is just as accurate as my weihrauchs.

If you decide to refinish the stock you can buy a rubber butt pads and spacers that are made to be sanded down to fit the stock if I remember right.

I went through the rifle, cleaning rust and the internals.
Went for a short shoot with my boy and it was tack driving the Crosman Premiere Hollow Point!

Find a pre-1960 something pure copper penny. It will remove the rust without disturbing the bluing. I talk about it on my Remington Summit video,

@@springpistonriflefeverlone9611 0000 steel wool - Many years ago I spoke with a gentleman that restored firearms at a museum, that was his suggestion and I've used it hundreds of times in the past 50 odd years. It does not damage the finish and removes rust.
      .
Just remove the stock, let the gun soak overnight, then gently use the steel wool. I hope you find the results as amazing as I have over the years.

I am picking up a second hand 34 the first of the week, interested in any info on getting the best out of the T05 trigger

    • @springpistonriflefeverlone9611
      @springpistonriflefeverlone9611  Před 5 měsíci +1

I think that for the trigger screw, all the way in is the heaviest break weight and backed out lightens the trigger break weight.
My trigger breaks at under a pound and the screw was backed out about a 1/16 or more of an inch when it came to me.
My 1993 T01 came with the screw all the way in and I backed it out 3/4 of a turn and that dropped the break weight to below 1 lbs.
      I hope that helps.

@springpistonriflefeverlone9611 Sorry I missed your response. Yes, your information is very useful, turns out the rifle is a 1968 model with a T01 trigger. I have put a vortek spring kit in. It's a great shooter. The trigger is awesome as is, but I may fool around with it this weekend.
