Listening to this in March 2021. Reminds me of a much less complicated time. God music was great when this was first out. Can't wait for live gigs to come back! This album was absolute 🔥 🔥 🔥
They have to be one of the most underrated bands ever. Great music and fantastic vocals. We have utter garbage in the music industry right now and have done for years. It saddens me
I'm sure it is entirely the fault of Music For the People that they died. Some bangers on there but people couldn't look past the... _Ahem_ rampant sampling.
@@dannylarue1940 Couldn't agree more but not for some who think it's just one big party time. I can't say I'm a massive fan but just recalling the band some real bangers especially first album. I actually first came across this song when I was diagnosed with Juvenile Onset Ankylosing Spondylitis. Someone had made a video for awareness that used this song. Ever since this song has always helped during my darkest days. Even when I was in hospital, couldn't sleep because of pain, feared what organ would be next, it helped. Thank you
I will always , always love this . Reminds me of when I was a teen , and the start of my mental health problems began my then therapist recommended these to me. Found comfort in their music. Have loved them ever since. Thankyou guys for such wonderful music and helping me through the worst times in my life even recently. Xxxx
November ‘22. Moved to the USA now and came here cos I hate how CZcams here is full of the US versions. Had the pleasure of hosting these boys at a music festival in scunthorpe at a festival I organized with my friend called party in the pines. Dream come true/ moment of my life considering I discovered them ten years before litter picking on a landfill site listening to radio 1 because I didn’t have anything else to earn. I stood on stage with them while they played a greatest hit set at the back. Or so I thought, somehow living in the USA about to get my green card. Bit of positivity for the comment section. No matter your circumstances that one fkn chance can turn your life around. Don’t give up.
Glad I’m not the only one to recognise the similarities between The Enemy and The Jam, though The Jam are obviously better. The entire first album, but mostly the title track and 40 Days 40 Nights really show a Jam influenced sound, We’ll Live and Die In These Towns is clearly inspired by That’s Entertainment, and 40 Days 40 Nights is clearly inspired by Eton Rifles. The Enemy’s first album is so good
