I'm 58. That said, this delivers. Raised on the Jam and the Who, it's a beautiful racket these lads are raising. They mean it. That puts them in the club. Period.
I want this whole uk-indie style rock n roll back. To matter again, to be relevant with whole bunch of new bands of the new generation havin' respect to the previous generations as well, gosh I wish that happened.
Always loved hearing this on the radio when I worked in Dundee and knowing that very few of the people listening would know what a "house in the Ferry" means, lol.
seen them twice live, the only band i have ever seen where everyone watching smiles for the full 2 hours... huge fan.. The View, The View, The View are on fire!
God this takes me back, completely forgot this song! Reminds me of seeing them when they were little known supporting Babyshambles as Shepherds Bush in like... 2006 I think. God I feel old lol
im a spark to trade and decided to go back to college, best move ever, as much as the money is good, go for yer dreams if ye can lads, ye can do anything ye set yer mind to!
Not so much these days buddy they all wee drug dealing neds wish there were maybe I’d have a band I play guitar and know no one my age is Into real music 🎸
He's taking the piss out of the guy with fancy wheels on his van and 200 quid safety boots showing off his wad in the pub..... Expensive fuckin guitar that he can't even play ✊
quality lyrics so if u r famous u will get a hoose in the ferry n a new gutair lol luv kyles voice so much especially the one he did when he was 13 think it was his first recording its called i love you dunno if it,s a cover but they r deffo on fire
Most of the great promising punk influenced "indie bands" from this era made 1 or maximum two killer albums before turning too technical. Enemy, Arctic Monkeys, Rifles, Bloc Party, Kaiser Chiefs etc. The View was no exception. In my own opinion of course.

I keep coming back to this every few years and every time it gets to me within seconds
Nothing quite like early the view. That being said excorsism of youth is a fantastic recent album
The view is going down the sane way as "Fleetwood mac" absolute legends and made/produced a timeless classic for us who loved this band.👏🎵

Reidar Vang don’t forget the pigeon detectives. And maybe hard-fi, throw Franz Ferdinand in there aswell

You’re right man!!
Despite sadly being right..... It was a great era for music
Let's be honest the Arctic monkeys extensive catalogue is worth more than all they other bands you mentioned combined.
