- This version of the song is from a BBC Radio 2 documentary "Titanic - Minute by minute", which was broadcast on 14/15 April 2012, exactly 100 years after the Titanic sinking and of course the song was considered very appropriate.

Of all the versions i have heard of this song, Hue & Cry version is so much more powerful and haunting of thoughts of the atrocities that went on in heavy industries over the years. I'm glad i got out of it.
Pat & Greg Kane make this Classic sound like the rest are just imitations. Truly brilliant !.
I go in the gate everyday. Pure gold
Hue and Cry represent the Clyde shipbuilders who are sung about in this song.... Elvis Costello's song is elevated here.
Brilliant Elvis Costello song, even more brilliantly covered by Robert Wyatt. Originally from the album 'Punch The Clock'.
cool
Thanks much for posting. I adore Hue and Cry. But I've gotta stick with Elvis on this one. Perhaps they're best sticking with their brilliant originals.
cool, it sounds sad a bit
It’s a very sad subject.
