Orbison had a rather tragic life that somehow fit his music. He divorced an unfaithful wife but later remarried her. She was killed in a motor cycle accident while they were riding together ((Orbison claimed that Elvis first introduced him to motorcycles. Elvis called him the world's greatest singer and, unlike Elvis, he wrote many of his songs, including "Crying," often in collaboration with others). Later, his two sons died in a house fire while he was on tour. He died at the age of 52 of a heart attack. His many fans were absolutely fanatic about his music and you would see many of the same faces at concert after concert.

Not trying to reinvent the wheel or anything, but I've been trying to figure out a way to interact with you all more, than just though the Live premiere's, as it goes so fast, but live streaming a Podcast, where everyone can talk and suggest music that we can listen to Live and just chill together, I think would be a good format...My only concern would be any copyright issues. I'm not sure how that would work if it were live and we watched/listened together...Thoughts? Would you tune in once a week for an hour or 2 to just listen to great, lost music and chat with the group?

Agreed! By the way, I have 3 premiere's tomorrow! 2 here on Reaction Diaries and 1 on my OTHER reaction channel, The Speak Easy Lounge. Here's a link to the other channel, so you can check it out! I have this channel for more of the heavier music, and classics that don't get much play anymore. Whereas on TSEL, I play a lot more CZcams popular Music. I think you might like it, if you haven't already been over there! czcams.com/users/TheSpeakEasyLounge

As a follow up check out Wilson Pickett covering the Beatles Hey Jude. Not only does he do a great version on the vocals Duane Allman does the guitar fills. Many. Claim this was the start of southern rock. This song influenced Clapton to reach out to Duane and lead to him playing the slide on Layla.

No they are not / That is a myth . He loved his first wife dont get me wrong . But this song and California Blue , several others in the Mystery Girl Album were for Barbara . Roys first wife Claudette, cheated on him causing them to divorce . They did one year later remarry . Right before she died in motorcycle accident . Less than 2 years later he was married to Barbara.

Big fan of his, one of the greatest ever. I'm a music historian I have suggestions. Unchained Melody by the Righteous Brothers. Actually Bobby Hatfield did it solo. Cara Mia by Jay & Americans. Any song by Creedence Clearwater Revival and You keep me Hanging On by Vanilla Fudge did a great cover of it by Supremes. What is yr Facebook channel? Typed Sabiki Lounge a no go. Best success on yr channel here

Half way house, try The Traveling Wilburys, Roy was in that super group,.
The Traveling Wilburys (sometimes shortened to the Wilburys) were an English-American supergroup consisting of Bob Dylan, George Harrison, Jeff Lynne, Roy Orbison and Tom Petty. Originating from an idea discussed by Harrison and Lynne during the sessions for Harrison's 1987 album Cloud Nine, the band formed in April 1988 after the five members united to record a bonus track for Harrison's next European single. When this collaboration, "Handle with Care", was deemed too good for such a limited release, the group agreed to record a full album, titled Traveling Wilburys Vol. 1. Following Orbison's death in December 1988, the Wilburys released a second album, which they titled Traveling Wilburys Vol. 3, in 1990. "End of the Line" is a song by the British-American supergroup the Traveling Wilburys. Released in October 1988, it was the final track on their debut album, Traveling Wilburys Vol. 1. The song was used over the end credits of the final episode of the British sitcom One Foot in the Grave and the American comedy Parks and Recreation.
    Volume 1
    "Nelson Wilbury" - George Harrison
    "Otis Wilbury" - Jeff Lynne
    "Lefty Wilbury" - Roy Orbison
"Charlie T. Wilbury, Jr." - Tom Petty
    "Lucky Wilbury" - Bob Dylan

They are all hand picked by Roy himself- they all go on to be top in the music businesses. He is the best opera rock bluegrass folk music all rolled into one. Wings of Pegasus has the voice chart. The man is a machine. The best singer ever no review is needed. I saw him live 2 times. Best concert I ever been too.
