The Greenwood Bulldog 7th Grade Mixed, Junior High Girls, Junior High Boys, Belle Canto, GHS Mixed, and GHS Madrigal choirs singing Africa by Toto. :))
A while since someone commented. Excellent..... We are South Africans... Even though Kilimanjaro is 3,000 miles from Cape Town this is still our theme song... Siriah Renn
All I can say is WOW!!!!!!!! I was in chorus in high school and we never attemped something on this scale. I love the thunder and lighting. If your group does more songs or have more here on youtube i would love to see them!!
David netting I know I’m a little late but this song is incredibly challenging due to the drastic change in tone and a lot of projections is required, also to mention harmonies are extremely important in this piece as this is a multiple part piece also to say one more thing is that you need to blend a lot of choirs can’t perfect this piece
I love the ending!! But I think it's hilarious how choir directors always want us to put some weird hand motion into the mix... xD (my teacher included) The rain motions were awesome!!
Every single choir performance of Toto-Africa I've come across CZcams are very similar to the Perpetuum Jazzile version. Every. Single. One. Nice performance, other than the off-bit in the intro.
to me it sounds like a three part harmony, but not exactly the same as the original. It seems there are some parts that are simplified (in the line "I bless the rains down in Africa")
I love the director, he seems the happiest person in the world with those dancings
I was very happy! This is one of my all time favorite performances to direct.
This school is blessed with a song that hits harder then a tanker
Awesome! I searched for something else and landed here, but I am glad I did! Absolutely awesome 👏🏻

Who might have imagined Perpetuum Jazzile would have such an influence on the perfomance of this song.
