If those are beer cans in the background that's a solid effort!! Great video!
Haha thanks
Nah it’s Yamaha... maybe root beer😂
I was thinking I could make myself a bike lift and here you are already doing it. Sterling work, Sir!
Thanks, yeah I still have it today still works great
@@vegasromaniac what is the most weight this has carried? I want to build one to work on my 85 FXR and 06 Rigid. (Maybe 700lbs Max)
the sketchieness is real with this one
I absolutely don't care if it was 20.00 or not, I like the forethought and design features. I have spent a lot of time of my life in 3rd world countries and i've been amazed at the ingenuity prompted by necessity! This is just a great example and I love it! and yes, I see that I'm WAY late to the thread! so what! hahaha
Thank you for watching, I appreciate the views and the comment, yeah I like to entertain myself this way sometimes, btw still works today year later, also got painted red
Yep, I saw your first video about this and was pissed you didn't show any plans or details on how you made it. I thought you said you would post plans. Anyway, I found this video and now I'm happy. You did an awesome job making this. I already have that same Craftsman jack and plan to make your lift soon. I have a KLX250 and next Spring I'm getting a 300 2-stroke enduro. Also going to build a street legal flat tracker out of a Yamaha RD400. Yep, I'm a 2-stroke guy at heart, have been since 1974. My biggest problem will be getting the RD down 1 flight of stairs into my basement since I don't have a garage. That's where the RD400 tracker build will take place. Thanks for the lift idea....
Great build. Ingenious!
Excellent project. Well done ; )
This is cool. Thanks for sharing.
Cool beans! Well done!
You sir are a genius.
Great job man simple and effective
Thanks instill have it today no wood splits
Bloody ingenious mate, well done, oh and top effort on the beer cans :-)
Haha Thanks man btw I still have it today, painted red with some scrap paint, it's still asesime, I just run it over with my car 5 minutes ago so it's a bit in the way but still worth having
You’re a genius!!
Not just a great idea but your video production and explanations are top notch!
Really clever. Well done.
Nicely done...exactly what I’m looking for
Glad I could help
Nice work!
Nice!🤙🏻
nice work man
Great stuff👍
You are a genius my friend🏆
Totally awesome! I may build one
I still have it works great
Well thought out and would be great for a smaller lighter bike.
Would need some carpentry skills and some descent saws to make it look and work like the one in the video. Which works very well. Good Job!
Can tgis be made with a wider top for liftng an atv? I want to lift my polaris to working height, I'm tired of sitting on floor
Nicely built.
This is very cool good job!
Perfectly adequate for a dirt bike/small displacement street bike, but in reality, a Dirt Bike etc. can be run up a simpler and more stable fixed work table without a lot of trouble. The lifting aspect is required with heavy , large displacement street bikes and this simply isn't going to work for that. Nice job on the lift,Vegas...repurposing is always a good thing and this will do exactly what you need it to do...
Yeah I think it will hold up to 400 pounds.. But that's about it
This is fricking genius.
Great job!
I just love your safety boots. I see that they have secret steel toe caps and lace up.
Yep and good ventilation too
I have a lift table, and a motorcycle / atv lift, and all the scrap wood I could ever need for this project, guess what I'm making tomorrow, 2 lift tables.... thank you sir you are the bomb.
Awesome
Brilliant!
Thanks
Looks good bit I agree with other HOG riders. My Road King is just shy of 900lbs fully dressed. Stronger steel can be used and still not equal the lowest cost version available for purchase
Great inventiveness. Might have a try myself.
I still have it today... Works great
Excellent escomarics, great job, A+ brother..
Awesome...
Thanks for sharing. I think I'm going to build on 4 ft wide for working on mowers.
Works awesome even today as we speak
Dude 😳 that’s awesome.
I still have it today ...5 years later still in one piece
Brother you got off on that lift , if I may suggest you can stick grip tape where the bike stands and also on the bottom so it doesn’t slide when mounting the bike. This lift was made by a dedicated biker and a professional as well imo, ride safe a thank you for the demonstration.🤘😎👍
Nice job!
Thanks
Genius!!
Thanks
I like it, well done. going to build one similar, One question is the 33" dimension for the lift arms 33" overall length or bolt to bolt? Thanks in advance
i like it v.m.
Nice, but $20? Obviously he hasn’t priced a sheet of plywood lately......
John Acuff it was scrap wood he had after some other project. You could use OSB board which is less expensive than actual plywood
I suspect he "finds" a lot of stuff.
v.m. innovator for motorcycles
Good work mate, anyone can buy one from at shop but not everyone can make one, I'm with you I like to make my own stuff .
There is a pride in making it yourself, yeas sometimes its not as good but for the people that never built one, it's unexplainable feeling
Cool !
I still have it years later
That's great if you have a sm. Bike, what about a big cruiser?
That is pretty fukn cool!! 👍
thanks
brilliant :-))
thanks
Nice
A+
great job sr you should make prefab kit! just 5/8 plywood! ramp! you sale as bike ramp! EVEN AS RIDELAWNMOWER TOO JUST MAKE WIDER LIKE 35W/ LONG 90 INCH LONG! USE AS RIDELAWNMOWER LIFE!! LBS 500! WORK GREAT EXTRA INCOME!!!! GREAT JOB!!! SR !!!!
Have to say pretty cool job
Tha KS
Hey man, great job and very good idea! I'm wondering how do you connected the lifting metal part of the lift to the wood, do you coonected both the red and the black parts or only the red? Many thanks from Italy!
We need to see more guys like him. Very Creative and Smart!
Great video and great explanations. Did you build your trailer? I love the little trailer you have! I want to build one exactly the same if you could provide measurements and a walk around?
I have a bunch of videos with the bullt on my chanel, about 3 years ago
thanks a lot! you inspired me to build one as I work on motorcycles and my budget is low right now! so I am building it right now and this extra video is a big help! Nice engineering I like it!
just to add I am using a regular car jack so I have to do my own engineering!🙈 as it is a bit different from your concept hoping it will work as good as yours
Kleban Janusz t=4
Im building one !
Sweet 👍 Thanks for sharing your knowledge and ingenuity
Damn you even give dimensions
Yeah I still have it today, I love it... Still works great
@@vegasromaniac Could this be a bit larger to fit an ATV and still be safe
Somewhere around 4'by8'
@@shawngraham4902 well, i haven't calculated mine, but it will hold my 250 pounds bike and myself , so 400 pounds ..
its all right not everyone has the space or even a shed and anyway the bike jack cost at least $100 I bought one to work on Harleys when I ran them as they have no centre stand it is worth getting it came with a stool on casters with a tool tray in the bottom any low stool or milk /beer crate with a bit of cardboard box for comfort would do either great for cleaning the drive chain and back wheel and where ever .depending on your bike if it comes with a factory centre stand your sorted if not front and back paddock stands or abba stands look them up they are pretty trick also a head stock lift is cool but I have a rear paddock stand . I use cushions to kneel on and an old rug or a big card board box to save the concreate floor chewing up the toes of my boots . I wear track pants when working on the bikes squatting works too at times when washing the bike . acf 50 corrosion inhibitor to keep her looking fresh .
Slick. What ever does the job
i like your lift simple and cheap gona make one myself but my bike is pc 800 300 kilos . good job man.
Awesome, works great
If I had a bigger garage I would pay you a lot to make one for me!
Frickin Jim's Frickin Adventures if your willing to pay alot for one why wouldnt tou just buy one?
pretty nifty i like it
Because Chris is a cool guy, he lives down the street, he's my buddy in real life, he's helped me out so much in the past, and it would be just dang cool to purchase something he built.
What type of motorcycle stand was that please? it was black and had a crank up arm.
Damn. Wish I had a Romaniac neighbour.
Can I use other jacks? Great lift you have 👍
yeah you can use Jack Daniels. :P
@@darkshadowsx5949 hahaha 😎
I think I'll just make one out of steel angle iron instead, I don't really trust wood with my big V-twin.
i think im gona buy a real jack for my africa twin
Could you let me know how you attached the arm of the jack to the wooden arm mate? I wanna build one of these bad boys
O just put a plank of wood over it, so when the jack goes up will move the arm of the table also will give it side to side stability
Right on brother - thanks for the reply man and thanks for posting this vid - my f*cked up back is gonna be happy when I've got this thing built! By the way, just watched your vid with the broken leg dude, damn that's gnarly - friends in the right places!
Hi, great job, do you by any chance still have the drawings? Greetings from Italy
How heavy is your Bike ? I have a 1987 Honda Helix Scooter that I need to fabricate something similar to what you have here so that when my bike needs repair work done, I'm not having to sit on the ground to do it, My Helix weighs in at about 350 lbs. dry weight, without fuel.
+garthks my bike is only 250, but I can stand on the table and it holds so it should be able to handle 350 or 400
How is the center counter support attached to the top? Hinges?
Bolt thru the top 2x3
will it be enough for my suzuki vstrom 650 or it will break?
You can always build it stronger
I’m building this lift today. Materials are now about $80 at Menards.
That's awesome man ... It would have been great of you had scap wood ...would have been free
Total materials were around $100. I used a little scrap wood but everything else was new. I had to buy a steel pipe to solidly attach my lift to the table. That added $20.
I just work on the ground and a pulley to barely lift few inches for the wheels
O posibilitate de a avea acces la planurile de constructie exista?
am un video cu masuratori , dar planurile sunt in cap la mine, la vara in 2022 ne intalnim la o bere si le sctriem pe in servetel
dope family wheres the other yz
I am using your idea but altered, I have a ton of wood available to me so going out and buying that type of jack rather than a whole table works out to being about 1/4 of the total price. I am however adjusting your design to have three sets of legs to get better stability. I am also putting washers in between any where sections of wood rub when raising to avoid that squeak :)
Que lastima no tengas un video de la mesa paso a paso
Shouldn't you be training for Andre Ward right now .. .lol
That's like $150 worth of material. Minimum. Still cool.
half sheet of plywood 14$
6 2x4x8' 18$
12 1/4"x4" stove bolts with nuts 11$
front tire catch free if made of wood instead of shiny aluminum
jack to lift it $0-$250
its all made or lost on if you have a jack for free or cheap but really most people have the bolts, lumber, and tools already to build it and im sure you can make a bottle jack from a half ton truck work and theyre 5$ at any scrap yard
All good for dirt bikes but wouldn't take chances on heavyweight cruiser
Yeah true that
This man is very dangerous. My hat is off to him.
Haha
Good job, but I'm not putting my goldwing on it!
Nor will I place my Harley Dresser. Too much weight.
Under $20? about the sheet, chain, tape measurement, safety rope and your hydraulic jack how much they cost you. Oh plus the roller tire. Damn thats a lot of work!
I had the jack, everything else was 20 bucks.. Obviously I had the tools and the screws
Oh! Ok thanks for sharing. Good job.
Nice design but definitely more than $20. Who has those “scraps” laying around.
Lots of people have scraps like this. If not you can get several of those boards for free in the form of a pallet. Or go by a construction site and ask for some left overs. Sure you can scavenge up parts near free.
locomojo0485 pallets arent good to use. A lost can go wrong
With today's inflation it actually cost $10000 worth of wood
By the logic with the same exact inflation the price of the jack if you buy it it's 10 times more expensive so it's still even
good job man, but your bike is not so heavy great job though .
I put a klr 650 on the table but that's the limit
The year is 2023 this is now 600 dollars of wood
Don't think this would handle my Goldwing
Nope
Nice design but the 20 dollar cost seems misleading for. Matrtials IMO
That's how much it cost me, but I had a old jack that was useless in the garage
the whole lift system is kinda cool, i love DIY stuff and building things but this thing looks pretty janky. You are lifting all that weight and material from the front of the stand that has maybe 12 inches connected to the jack. Also, the total cost to make this is not going to run anyone $20. you would be looking at $100 to $150 for that jack alone, then another $100 to $200 for wood and bolts. it would be more cost effective to just go buy a Harbor Freight table for $300.
Not true this project can work with any bottle jack for 20 bucks.
I don't know where you shop. But I'd sure like to sell you some stuff... That jack is $90 brand new. But I have one I picked up used for $20. And that wood can be scavenged for near free. Drive by a construction site and ask if they have any scraps you can have. Pallets have some usable boards. If you like doing DIY then you have to be resourceful. Otherwise you find nearly everything can be bought for nearly what you can build it for. To buy that wood retail wouldn't cost more than $75 anyways. 3/4 sheet of plywood is $25 a sheet. And what 7 2x4s for $2.50 each, and a few bolts and screws??
locomojo0485 if you scavenge and can find a jack for $20 then sure, total investment isn't much. in Cincinnati construction sites wont just give you scrap, at least none i have seen or heard of. they aren't suppose to do that for insurance reasons, and a lot of sites won't have much usable scrap anyway. if you go and buy everything new, and i mean the cheapest material you can find. you are still going to pay close to 200. add your numbers it's still 165, i would still recommend buying a heavy duty steel table. use this idea if you are just lifting a cheap dirt bike or beginner motorcycle.
@@jacobh.7076 the jack was a Craigslist 20 dollar jack, and the wood was 1.99 a piece at home depot, I needed 10.. So I'm 40 bucks in.. And a sheet of plywood for 7 bucks
I highly recommend watching this stoned!
Maybe because I built it stoned...
Smh
Plug for coke
Janky AF!
Thanks
First you buy a $150 motorcycle jack, and $100 worth of lumber the $40 for casters. looks more like $300 for a piece of shit Jesus $400 for a real one.
The jack was 10 bucks on a garage sale and I had 20 bucks worth of wood.. In it
@@vegasromaniac And you have sit for brains.
Hello Dude, can you make the Measurement in cm for a German Biker please?😊
