Deciding between this or samsung a52 but its so chunky
I also had to decide between the two last 2 month and went with Samsung A52 (5G)
I think the only advantage of Redmi Note 11 over A52 are battery life (5000mAh vs 4500mAh and more efficient SoC) and lighter weight

The main cam is the smaller one below the big sensor

No it’s not compact
i think it's the perfect size not too big or too small
Its not too big like other phones has 6.6 inches size but this phone is smaller 6.43 inches only
I hear xiaomi give this phone upgrade to android 13

Please do not buy Xiaomi, it is the wrost phone I´ve ever had. I have talked with many friends who have Xiaomi and all of us have the same opinion: It´s slow, the applications stop to work (meaning you cannot have some apps open at the same time as you can with other phones). First and last time that I buy this brand.

The problem I'm having lately is autocorrect doesn't work properly & saves wrong words other than that
I have been using Xiaomi for 4 years
I have used 4 Xiaomi devices
& The most recent one gave me problems I just debloated it,
It was giving me problems when memory got saturated,it started rebooting,
I understood that it had weak nand
My nand is almost 40% full
I have disabled memory extension
& My problem was solved
It's not a good phone,it will just provide you good enough basic experience,& last you for 2 years
Never had such problems with my now 2 years old Redmi note 11
