@@nataliekolenic4352 You bring up a very good point! It's a little embarrassing because I have studied canine ethology for over fifty years and would never own a purebred dog. It's horrific what irresponsible breeders have done with them over the last 300 years! Now we have a lot of pretty dogs that have lost their working ability and have a one in four chance of suffering a serious genetic illness. When people ask for my opinion about getting a certain breed, I tell them to go to the shelter and get a mutt that weighs over 39 pounds ;-)

My shetland knows how to get attention....he bites you. Shetland can really be little shits. I dont believe in having single animals so I got him a friend..a white donkey. I planned on keeping them in adjacent pens which last five minutes. Cody crawled under the bars of his pen and then crawled back into his pen. They are true monsters.

Thank you for rescuing not just Yahtzee, but the beautiful blonde baby too. It is so amazing to watch that process of them acclimating, realizing it safe, realize it's even loving, and they come into their own. I've seen it in a similar but different ways with dogs and cats either adopted. Sometimes you can tell if they've got a horror story in your childhood by a reticence that never leaves, my current cat - gun shy. But he has learned to receive love and how to give love, if anything he's a real daddy's boy. We sleep together every night and hang out, he'll be in whatever room I'm in. Sometimes looking at me, make that staring, and sometimes seemingly guarding me. Facing the door full on.

But how available it is to see the soul in a horse through their eyes. It really is remarkable. Was never in a position where I could have one or even keep her maintain one but I do love them. One of man's great symbiotic inter species relationship. 😺
Get her an exercise ball my friend put one in the pasture with his horse and I enjoy watching him chasing that thing around sometimes he kind of plays fetch you toss the ball he chases it and kind of noses it back at you...okay you do have to run it down a little but hey we all need a little exercise
