Iran Official Recounts Last Moments Before Raisi Chopper Crashed, Says "No Bad Weather Condition"

- Gholamhossein Esmaili said in an interview with state TV that weather conditions in Iran’s Varzaqan region, where President Raisi’s copter crashed, were perfect at the start and during most of the flight that took place a day earlier.
Esmaili was in one of the three helicopters that were returning from a dam inauguration ceremony on Iran’s border with the Republic of Azerbaijan.
He said the helicopters had taken off at around 1:00 p.m. local time on May 19 while weather conditions in the area were normal.
After 45 minutes into the flight, the pilot of President Raeisi’s helicopter who was in charge of the convoy, ordered other helicopters to increase altitude to avoid a nearby cloud.
However, the president’s helicopter, which was flying between the two others, suddenly disappeared.

This is similar to General Bipin Rawat's accident. There was nothing the pilot could have done in the dense cloud/fog.
If he couldn't fly IFR, he shouldn't have been there, poor training, poor judgement, ineptitude

This sort of thing has happened many times before. The pilots didn't reach the necessary elevation and flew into the side of a mountain in very poor visibility.

Fog creeps up on you. He clearly acknowledges an attempt to ascend above a cloud. He also admits to seeing nothing under the fog. So they clearly ran into a cloud and it worried them. Disorientation and or equipment failure.

The Helicopter crashed on the ground not in the air. Fog is always on the ground, in the air they are called clouds. I guess people that don't understand how fog works are going to think this is huge...

Imagine how many fog machines it would take to haul them all up a mountain set them up with the elecrtical and water...lots of water... to generate a fog bank that takes down a helicoptor with a certain victim inside. Odds are against that. Mountains are natural fog machines it happens often, no one ever made fog happen to cause a crash, thats what gunpowder is for. Smoke screens accomplish that goal. Still hard to conspire hard enough to fabricate enough paranoia when mountains make you paranoid... they should make you paranoid so you're not really paranoid just observant.

it seems Ike the doomed helicopter did not ascend or go up fast enough and ended up scraping the side of the mountain resulting in the tragic crash...it could also been a pilot error to go forward while not gping directly above

But that was more than several hours after the crash, those videos showing fog are from the rescue mission. When the helicopters would have been flying it would have been 1pm or 2pm and fog is unusual at that time of day.

My idea of a 'martyr' is not someone traveling by helicopter or staying in a five-star hotel. Also, martyrs are killed because they made a choice, not because they travel in the fog.

Examine the helicopter for projectile residues. The craft may have been targeted
On a 9000 ft mountain. You are going to carry hundreds of pounds of antiaircraft rockets and other weapons to that site in those conditions. you couldn't see the helicoptor to shoot it down. No bullit holes, no weapons signature, certainly you are more paranoid than most.

If the pilot was not IFR rated he would have had to remain within visibility to the ground so the chopper would have been travelling within tens of meters from the surface, death warmed up.
