I watched it twice and will again. So much to take in. Your lovely flowers. The peaceful quiet of the countryside. Your creative food. The chateau. Thank you for giving us a peek into your beautiful world Marloes ! 💕🌷
My pleasure!
I don't often comment but I just love the tranquility you bring to your vlogs. Beautiful Countryside wildlife and home. Makes me remember to appreciate my surroundings more.
Thank you!
So nice that your teaching your sons to cook! I never did, just assumed they didn’t want to learn, and I certainly regret that now. Now I have grandkids, especially one grandson who loves to cook! 😊
As always Marloes such a beautiful Vlog. The Chateau was absolutely stunning and is sure to be a big success. Prayers and love to Mama cow and peace to her calf that did not make it. The countryside in full Summer bloom just beautiful. And the lovely lunch you made - yum! I hope that recipe will be in your cookbook. Merci Marloes!
Thanks! This recipe isn’t mine so it won’t be in the cookbook but here’s a link to it: www.insightflavour.com/post/halloumi-souvlaki
I adore your videos, they are so beautiful and calming. ❤
Merci 😊
Uwielbiam takie klimaty, przepięknie, w polaczeniu z Twoim cieplym glosem, moge słuchać i oglądać bez końca. Wracam nawet do tych obejrzanych. Bylo by cudownie zobaczyć to wszystko w realu. Cudownie, pozdrawiam😀
Thank you!
Truly loved this vlog. I like your style of video... slow , focus on highlights, let the ambient noise be the background and proceed at a slow and leisurely pace. You consistently do well with filming and subject matter. Bravo to you and hope you have a wonderful summer with your boys and hubby!!
Thank you!
Thank you for sharing. The tour of the Chateau Sainte Sabine was fabulous!
What an incredibly delicious video filled with so much beauty and charm! Thank you🌷❤️🇨🇦
Thanks!
Echoing everyone else’s comments about loving your peaceful and beautiful vlogs. Such gorgeous countryside. You have a knack of simple but stylish embellishments. Sorry about the calf.
Thank you!
So glad to have just discovered you..your life seems so beautiful in your part of France..looking forward to being with this channel again...thank you so much..
🌞❤️🌞
Merci! Welcome to the channel!
Just found you & Subscribed.
Your words: Peaceful etc.; and,
the fact that you find the Momma Cow’s
cries hard to endure-I found that you
touched my heart. I live in Pennsylvania
USA and my husband and I are always
seeking Peace & Quiet in this world of
noise.
Thank You for sharing your
experiences with us🌹
Welcome to the channel!
Your garden area is lovely! It's always a challenge to know what to keep and what to replace as some plants do well at first and then later not so much. Sixteen years later at our home and I'm still learning! Also, I especially like how everyone in the family takes turns cooking a favorite dish that they enjoy. Very sorry about the baby calf. The poor momma!
What a beautiful garden Marloes! So sad about the baby cow and the mother 😢
Beautiful Chateau.. so glad you’re not enduring the heatwave further south enjoy these times with your family.. so precious
Yes! We bought our house here because we really don’t deal with the heat very well. Else I would have loved being in the south of France! 😍
Thank you for your beautiful video.🌳🌹🐱
It is sad to see and hear the cow's grief. I again realise, animals have emotions, personality, connections, take care and I try to be more thoughtful with food, that comes from animals.
Just beautiful... the way you so unpretentiously arrange the flowers, the tree trunk in the shots of your sparkling white laundry drying, the sound beneath the music of a sheep calling, and the fox ! What a beautiful creature... the views of the mowed fields and trees billowing with growth in high summer, and the precious cows.. are the cream ones Charolais? - such a gentle country idyll...
And then the contrast with the delicious simplicity of your life-style - the elegant chateau... what a delight to see the details of the architecture, the mosaic floors, and herringbone parquet, the lake and the trees.
Your videos are a gift, thank you Marloes, and the music you choose is perfect...
Thank you! Yes the white cows are Charolais, the brown ones Limousin.
I just love your spirit! You are doing a great job with the gardens.🌸🌸🌸
Thank you!
Poor little cow mama and baby. So sad. You are so kind and compassionate.
It’s 7am Saturday morning in Australia, this is going to be a great way to start the day❤
😌
Beautiful countryside. I always enjoy my escape to the French countryside with you. Its very hot in my part of the world so I understand how you are enjoying a cooler summer where you are located. I live in the northeast of U.S and today will be close to 100* F . A true heat wave. Thank you for the video.
My pleasure!
What a lovely way to spend an evening! Wine, music and a beautiful chateau!
It sure was!
What a Beautiful, Beautiful Video!! We have bad hail here in Colorado. So I can feel for the sadness after everyone’s loss of plantings. Please do enjoy your beautiful summer. Thank you we enjoy your videos so very much!
Thank you!
merci pour cette vidéo très joli château à bientôt
I love growing all kinds of flowers in my yard. I don't know much. For me I just plant seeds and learn from what I see works. I noticed how easy it was to grow garlic from cloves that started sprouting. I plant them in fall and then they will grow into a whole garlic bulb in early summer.
Yes I’ve wanted to do that too last year but I’ll have to put it on my list for this year!
Thank you for sharing the Chateau will all the beautiful furnishings and finishes.
My pleasure!
Love your videos. So relaxing to watch. Your home and garden is beautiful. ❤
Such a beautiful episode
Merci 🙏

Beautiful video, but my heart goes out to Mama Cow. I cried.😢😢😢

@@FrenchCountryLife😭😭😭
شكرا على ماتقدميه رائع
magical!
You are probably already aware but it’s important to make sure that you are in the same “zone”as she is, meaning that when it’s the ideal time to plant and prune things in France that it is the same as for her where she’s located. My mother is a horticulturalist and she lives in a different zone than I do so when I was asking her for advice she reminded me about the different zones. Your garden looks beautiful- you do indeed have talent there.
Yes, but thanks still for pointing that out. With this Lathyrus, she said to cut off the beans (or the things that look like beans). I hadn’t even really noticed them but when she said it, I cut them off. It is supposed to direct energy back to growing more flowers instead of having the plant put energy into growing beans.
Very enjoyable
Thank you for yet another fabulous vlog. The bells are so lovely but news of the calf is very sad. This has been such a lovely summer in our area compared to last years hot weather and drought. But the hail has been terrible. We feel for those on the land. We've been hit 3 times this year and the garden has been stripped bare each time. Thank you so much for your recent Newsletter. It's beautifully curated. We're exploring Burgundy at the moment as part of our adventure to find a place to call home in France. You're newsletter has introduced us to some new places we've not yet visited as well as given us greater insights into some our favourite places. Many thanks Maria et Rowan.
Thank you! Yes I saw your email but haven’t made time to sit down and write back. So happy to hear you appreciate all the info that I share. All the best to both of you for your house search! Burgundy is gorgeous! I have totally fallen in love with this region 💜
@@FrenchCountryLife the surrounding with all the trees and hedges in your area is absolutely something to fall in love with❤
Such a lovely channel, looks better every day. Subscribed.
Thanks! Welcome to the channel!
I love your slow life videos! Glad you are able to take time with your kids this summer. What were you making for dinner?
My heart breaks for the Mama cow, they have so much love. Just thinking that she carried her baby for 9 months and now he/she is gone. I love that the other Mama cow and baby are right by her side for support. Seems like a lovely summer so far absolutely loved the event you went to😍
Thanks!
Oooo..such lovely scenery. We too celebrated Bastille Days in Milwaukee, Wisconsin along with the 120th anniversary of Harley Davidson's motorcycles founded here...just in case anyone in your family is a motorcyclist. Lots of blooms and flowers! 😊😊😊
Thanks!
I feel sorry for the poor cow & her baby. 🥲
Great work capturing many interesting thing. Your heart is as big as a saucer! I could feel the sadness over the calf. Sorry you had to even witness that. The cycle of life can be cruel on occasion. Nice point about that beautiful Chateau. We can rent a room, if we are ever in that area.
Thank you 🙏
Beautiful Chateau. The floor’s are amazing. ( poor cow loosing the baby )
Merci Marloes. Enjoy the summer with your fam.
Thank you!
💕💕💕
Beautiful!
I love your vlogs they are so restful and pretty. Your wild sweet peas are beautiful. These grow all over my daughters property in , white , pink and lavender. I love to take a large cutting and put it in a vase on a shelf or window sill and let it trail down . A few little bottles on the table with the cow parsley is also something I love to do. My heart breaks for the brown cow looking for her baby, so sad. She’s full of milk and no baby to nurse I hope there was a way to comfort her. 😢The chateau was exquisite, thank you for taking us along.
Merci
Kære LAVENDELLAND💜💜💜
Your peaches look ready to pick. Gorgeous. And yes we love watching the cows too.
Yes they are ready! This is the first year we’re having peaches on this tree! And they are delicious! Such abundance 😍
I saw that you had blankets out drying. I noticed that you are using the most recent technology: wind- and solar power 👍🏻
Exactly!
I also use solar power to soften butter (put it in the sun) and then there is my big oven, the car, which is perfect for rising bread dough in cooler weather if I park it in the sun.
😍🌹🌹🌹❤
🥰🇨🇦
Such a beautiful video. What is the name of the Chateau you visited that is also a hotel? Thank you so much. 😊
Sainte-Sabine. I’ve shared the link to their website in the description box.
Lovely info, maybe you could think about adding some music to your videos.
I used a lot more music before but have left it out in the last few ones to try different styles
So so sad about the baby cow.
I know…
So sad about the baby cow😢
Poor momma cow.
Куди повезли корову?
To the vet!
Don't despair. Happens to all of us. My suggestion, dare to switch your circle of opportunities and venture other venues ... like join a club ... if you like art, for instance, take classes with people who share your same interests and try to find a man who's a few years older than you... maybe in his early 30s or so, so that you can be his princess. Don't rush the relationship and don't give all of you ... leave some challenge for him ... we all like the challenge because it makes it the most interesting... don't mean to be difficult, but just value your self ... you're much more than a beautiful young woman, you are a most beautiful soul and that's the best we have. Our bodies age, but our soul remains young, kind, and beautiful. Love is beautiful and if you want to be in a good relationship for life, ask God to bless you with the right man. ❤
I think you’d intended this comment for another person’s video? I’m 46 and happily married to a younger man for years 😂 Thanks anyway for the kind words of advice ❤️
Jesus! Why can’t the Vet make a house call? We have that kind of veterinary service here & I live in a city, it isn’t cheap to have an animal put down at home but I have NEVER let my other cats wonder & go nuts looking for their other family member. The Vet comes over, & after he leaves I have my alone time & then I wrap up the cat in their blanket with only his/her little face showing, I put them in their bed or favorite spot where they always slept & let the others come around. They know something’s up & they come to look & stare & even immediate death has a certain scent & they understand their friend is gone, the next day I take him/her to be cremated & when the time is right one day I will scatter the ashes someplace beautiful...not where I live, this noisy, crowded dirty place is nowhere to spend eternity...it’s tough enough for humans to deal with loss & some of my cats were raised by the older ones so I see how they grieve. I wish the sick calf would’ve been put to sleep not far from his mother & she would know why he’s no longer around, to just make him disappear like that is worse. Animals especially the mamas need attention when baby dies. Thank u for update.
Yes we thought the same… maybe if she’d seen her baby she would have had understood what happened… 😞
The vet came to the farm / village, they never take cows to the vet. But he advised to take the calf to the farm and bottle feed it and keep a close eye on it.
