Wow! A beautiful restoration! You were brave to tackle that ceiling. I think the main focal point is still the fireplace and TV / French gallery wall is second. Is it possible to turn the furniture arrangement 90 degrees to give both equal status? It's hard to tell from the video if there is room. Enjoy your new room!
I think you did a wonderful job Amanda and Lincoln. I think the room is very personal, and a wonderful mix of old and new. I love the wallpaper and the dark blue doors. I am also a big fan of your sofa lounge. I love your chairs but not the white fabric. I admire that you can make white work with all those cats! I can not make white work in this house, we are not capable of keeping white, white! I think you both should be very pleased and proud of yourselves, and the rest of the chateau is going to look wonderful, if the rooms that you have successfully completed are any indication. Well done and I hope you all spend many many comfortable hours as a family in that wonderful salon.

I can not imagine the amount of time, effort, and elbow grease you put into restoring the ceiling, but I can tell you that it looks absolutely stunning. The room is simply gorgeous! I love the juxtaposition of the contemporary furniture with the very decorative mouldings and ceiling, and the odd antique piece added to the mix. It’s sophisticated, and liveable. The wallpaper is also beautiful. Well done!

Bravo-beautifully done! I love the couch but admit that I’m not a fan of the rug or the yellow tray on the table, but we like what we like. It must be a huge relief to have that room finished. ❤️❤️

Oh what a fabulous family room!! I love the mix of old and new...the most interesting interiors I find. Ooh I think my fave parts are the gallery wall, the wallpaper and the colour scheme. Of course the rooms architecture is the star of the show though.

Love the room, would move Mr. Fox under the TV…or on window pane…mirror is beautiful…the wallpaper adds a whimsical feeling…the yellow needs orange…you did a fabulous job…photos are wonderful and balanced…your personality is fun and it truly shows…👏🏻👏🏻🥂❤️

Well done. The room looks inviting and comfortable. The couch is a riff on a Florence Knoll couch from the 60s and is a perfect mix of traditional and modern in one piece of furniture. I hope you guys enjoyed a Manhattan or a martini while sitting there. Cheers! 🍸🍸

I like the sparing use of wallpaper. It is very nice and not necessary on all walls. You two should be so proud of all your hard work!

Such a lovely room. Very calming and great choice of wallpaper and paint color. Only thing I might like to see is a sliding framed painting to cover the TV, when it's not in use. But, it does look nice within the setting with the framed things around it. Good job!

The mirror over the fireplace is perfect. The juxtaposition of classic and modern works very well. Great job in the whole room.
The graffiti of the older woman with a pistol is reminiscent of the iconic San Francisco film "What's Up Doc" by Peter Bogdanovich. The scene takes place at a reception in an exquisite Victorian mansion and the bespectacled old lady with the pistol is a maid at the party where chaos ensues. Brilliant film by a brilliant director, with an equally talented ensemble cast, where Streisand, O'Neil and Kahn battle it out for the most outstanding performance. They are magical. In addition to his homage to his all time favorite directors, he pays honor to the City by the Bay like none other before or since.
The graffiti makes me smile because it reminds me of a hilarious scene in movie that is, in my opinion, perfect. I laughed from the beginning to the end.
How fortunate to have captured something so fleeting and evocative.

aw, wow! I usually don't watch films in the morning, but I missed this stunning result yesterday evening. I was becoming a bit tired - never of your videos - but of this never ending ceiling. As if I was in charge restoring all of those cracks. I have no clue how somebody on earth could have such a patience. "the universal sign for plastering" had to be applied millions of times. I dearly admire both of your patience (and skills, and imagination).
And now the petit salon sits there as if innocently whispering: it was just a bad dream, I always looked as awesome as now. congratulations!

Wonderful job….hey fyi I traveled France for 3 weeks this summer (I’m from Kansas City in the USA) I’ve been to France many times and am very comfortable driving all over. Anyway, I do want you to know I was very close to your chateau but didn’t drive by 😉. I thought about it but then laughed to myself (while driving) at how you comment about how much you don’t really want company and you two are quite happy there with your Family! I totally get it but boy was I tempted. Your chateau looks stunning and the chance to see it in real life! I particularly love how you have groomed your outbuildings as well. Anyway keep up the vlogs. You are so good at editing as well. I Really do enjoy being able experience your adventure.

Anyway it’s all good. You just have to remember that your putting this beautiful chateau on u tube. And I’m grateful. But boy it’s hard not to want to see it in person. I guess that’s why you don’t have Patreon which is good because then you’d have to have an annual open house or something . I’m a Patreon for a couple of other chateaus and I have to tell you it’s really enjoyable to meet others who are very interested in French architecture. I think those of us in The USA particularly appreciate it because we just don’t have that history here. One more thing you and your husband are very nice and hard working and you are funny so just take it as a compliment that some of us would love to meet you someday😉.
