Xxxtentacion has many face tattoos, including a numb tattoo under his right eye. X always had a negative image because of the things he did in the past (he was a big problem in Florida) but as he got older and more mature he changed his life around to become the leader of the youth and misguided before he was shot and killed during a robbery at age 20. His last instagram story was about the charity event he was hosting that weekend in Florida. I would recommend xxxtentacion Jocelyn Flores thanks for this great reaction ❤

That refrain of "Don't go to sleep, don't go, stay up and don't go." Whether or not it's meant, it reminds me of when my PTSD is at its worst, because you stay up to avoid the night. And also because you got to the end of the day, and you don't want the next one to start because you're exhausted and just trying to survive is too hard. Facing those nightmares followed by a whole other day of getting to the end is just: nope. Let's put that off for another hour. Another one.
This is a really interesting question, because I was asking it the other day and lots of people don't die in their dreams. I was surprised. Is it just me? Because I've definitely been murdered quite a few times in mine.
I’m trying to think of I’ve ever had a dream of myself dieing. I don’t think I have to the extent of which we are talking. I think I’ve fallen off cliffs, or been chased by people trying to get me etc but never the actual dieing part I don’t think. I probably will do now tonight as my brain will be thinking about it! @@TherapistReactsOfficial Oops... I cursed you. Well, I'm still here so if you do dream it you won't die in real life. I've been stabbed a lot, and mutilated, and had limbs cut off. I used it in my horror writing more than once, so... bonus, I guess? Ooohh! That's like Ren's Power song. I turned it into power. Ooo... I never thought of it like that! I'm going to be happy for the rest of the week now lol
XXX sadly was murdered right in my town. So sad and I'm glad those thugs finally got their justice!

And regarding his line “I don’t want to go outside, get caught in traffic”, it’s actually quite depressing because he literally means he doesn’t want to get caught in traffic in his car because someone can kill him. This is exactly what happened…

Just to clear up confusion you may h he wasnt caught in traffic he was STALKED right in and out of that dealership! They knew he had that money on him! i get sad every time i drive passed. Great reaction as usual!

Man U nailed so much he’s not only an insanely great artist but he was so smart an every single word has a deep meaning in almost every one of his songs . Literally the greatest artist I’ve ever heard in all of music
X is literally one of the reasons I'm here today his music ment much to me it helped me get thru my lowest so much that I actually contemplated taking my own life when he past bcuz I felt that I lost the only thing keeping me alive but with the help of his music and others music I started listening to I made it out that hole and am doing pretty good now im now almost 4 years sober and am in a loving relationship and tbh if it wasn't for x or peep or $b I probably would've od back in 2017 bcuz thats when the only thing I wanted was to take drugs and die but they're music got me out of that lifestyle and I'm forever grateful 🙏 rip x rip peep rip juice and thank you for everything ❤

Getting caught in traffic in slang terms can mean getting killed in the street. Mainly getting seen out by those who wants to do you wrong while driving and unable to go anywhere

great analysis man. I remember feeling like X saved my life in middle school when i was depressed because his music was so impactful and easy to connect to. Im 20 now and no longer deal with depression, but X will always be top 5 for me.

Getting caught in traffic is to get caught lacking, Paranoid about if someone's gonna pull out something on you in traffic, its just real life Trauma in music form. Lol i got caught it was a life changer fr lol
this is my favorite x song by far
5:20 Getting caught in traffic is a slang term. If you are stuck in your car with nowhere to go, people that want you dead have a stationary target. X grew up in an unstable home and was in and out of the prison system as a young teenager. He probably knew some people he had done dirty at one point or another when he was desperate wouldn't be too happy about him blowing up and becoming rich. The tragic irony of this line today is that he was boxed in leaving a dealership and shot dead in a robbery in his car, giving this line a chilling feel.
i'm a bit late to this, but this analysis was very keen to his mind and open-minded. from hearing many critics, i can appreciate an open mind and thorough first take. you got the part about the repetition spot on, he did that on a lot of songs bcuz even if it was repetitive, it did simulate and vocalize what the thoughts going through someone's depressed/dark mind are like.
one things i'd like to point out about X's music is that he's very lyrical (some songs more than others) with the way some lyrics have deeper meaning or connections to other lyrics than you initially comprehend, but in this particular song, everything connects beautifully (as depressing as the song is):
- he wants to die in the night time
- only time i feel pain when i feel love: he feels numb to emotion and pain only until he feels or receives love, at that point pain is possible. the specific pain is up for interpretation based on his other songs (he has stated in other songs he's numb)
- the numb tattoo lyric is literal (he has many tattoos, facial and body that express his feelings and many of those that he based into songs, albums, etc.)
- only time he is in his mind, is when he's alone: this is where everything connects
- that's why he's never really alone in the night time
these parts are the main connections for me, but the other lyrics of the song also fit into this:
he wants to die in the night time, but that's only if he's alone in his mind. he is numb. so on one hand, he wants company so he can feel something; feel love, but on the other, he wants it to be temporary bcuz opening up fully to love that he wants makes himself vulnerable to being hurt by the company and by himself; his own mind hurting him with the memories of his past-trauma. being numb and feeding himself temporary love with these "h0es" causes a fire-starter addiction, making him feel lost so simultaneously, he avoids "going outside" and "traffic" (to me, "going outside" means going out and dealing with the world as a whole with all it's problems, his social life, and/or dealing with/finding more company/"h0es" and "traffic" is metaphorical for the thoughts in his mind piling up like a traffic jam as a result of going outside). you can tell that all of what he wants contradicts in some way; each want needing to avoid each other in some way to function, even if temporarily, but each want also feeding into the other in some way. like puzzle pieces that don't go together, but also do.
while relatively simple in delivery, it is very powerful when you dive into it and connect the bits and pieces. hope this helps at all for this song or if you do any more listening. great video!

He wanted people to be happy because he knew that “Everybody Dies In Their Nightmares”
He wanted everyone to sleep peacefully under the “Moonlight”
But now he’s gone
And we all feel “SAD”
We also feel “BAD” because we

The concept of aloneness is different for everyone. I think it is right what xxxTentacion says about no one knowing anyone completely; and because of this aloneness is both inevitable and on occasion essential. Sometimes, like you said Stuart it’s because we don’t proffer enough information to make conversations real enough, sometimes it is down to us not being able to make ourselves fully understood. Other times it is down to misinterpretation, or us as individuals choosing to lie or misdirect people away from us; and thus choosing to be alone rather than have to deal with the lives and complications of being with/around others. However, there is a fine line between aloneness and self isolation. The former is not always a prerequisite of the latter, and vice versa. I think the line “Don’t go to sleep” might be, as someone else said in the comments, about being afraid of the monsters that come in the dark; or being afraid to face the next day. However, for some those words could be relevant because they have self medicated and are afraid if they go to sleep, they may not wake up again.
This made me cry... Me and my hubby have been threw situations and now i feel like ive just made his worse i look stupid rn havin a breakdown over things for months just cuts to close to home i guess..
X and Juice's deaths are moments where we say where were you when you heard, my inspirations all leave me 😢

X’s mom was a stripper his mother and farther were divorced and his step mom got cheated on by his dad and his dad sold drugs his brother/uncle committed suicide bc of drugs etc and he got in to a lot of fights sticking up for others and his dad had also went to jail

Xxx went thru a lot (rest in peace) he sadly wasn’t the nicest of people but you find some issue with stuff he did can be caused by bad relationships. He was 19(i think) and had done many crimes. Songs I recommend: moonlight, jocelyn flores, revenge, the remedy of a broken heart, look at me, revenge and i dont wanna do this anymore. And aswell I recommend billie eilish one of his great friends if yu havent does anything with her before as shebis cery popular

They wanted to get 50,000 dollars he got from the bank and he tryed getting out of his car and one of the guys shot him in the back and kept shooting him and he was rushed to the hospital but passed and it was sad but he is in a better place now
