X death is one that bothers me A LOT, he had a rough past but was making a huge change to himself, and became a big believer about the energy you put out into the world. A lot of his song lyrics make his death feel eerie, I would recommend I Spoke to Devil in Miami, Train Food, Sad!(Music Video), Moonlight(Music Video), and Hope. I miss before June 2018.
He should also check out i dont wanna do this anymore and schizophrenia

X was gunned down outside of a motorcycle shop by a group of thieves who were looking to rob him.
The sad reality was he was finally starting to find peace and happiness in his life. He found a girl who was there for him. She actually is raising his child whom they fortunately conceived months before his passing. He was in a position to support himself and those he loved. Before he passed he bought his grandmother a home, the person who raised him from a young age. Also, I believe he purchased his mother a home around the same time.
His life had a tragic ending but his music and energy will live on through all those he touched & may he be forgiven for his sins.

Its alright, his son will grow up to know how cool he was and that his son will know he had now got a better life and become a better human.

There is something addictive in watching a father figure (who is qualified) trying to understand the music of the younger generation. discovered you yesterday, you earned a sub.
You missed the irony of the song because x was killed in his car. He "got caught in taffic". I think he tried to speak this out of existence by saying he wants to die in the nighttime over and over again. But who knows.
Also, im impressed that you caught on to what x's genius was. He was an emotional person that understand how to wrap that into a 30 second melody. Truly remarkable talent. RIP

Such a short song but ever line speaks volumes the more you think about it, XXX vocalized his emotions in very abstract ways, if you do not open your mind like he adviced in the intro of this album a lot of it will just go over your head.

Subscribed - I never over listen to certain x songs because of the way they make me feel when I need to relieve some pain .. I’ve got certain songs I can play like a pressure relief valve they can make me feel certain emotions.

2:24 what you said Is the best way I discribe how I am, Ive been through alot of tragedies where I feel like I have to keep a distance between me and people so I never get too close and feel hurt again when either a break up or death. Keep up with the positive attitude and work👍🏼
just found your channel a couple days ago and wanna say thanks. just seeing a therapist listen to rap and add the therapy spin to it helps more than ya think it does. ever since feb 17 of 2020 i have lost 12 of my friends. i turn 22 in a few months. drunk drivers, covid, suicide, ODs, and a murder tore my friend group apart. its been a bit of a melancholy haze lately, you kinda just get to this point after 5 where you start thinking "am i next?" But then it hits 10 and you know its inevitable. i have never had a good experience with therapy before, the therapist ive had in the past just gaslit my problems and told me that i just have to live with it, that it takes time to get over. well i dont wanna get over it. i want to carry the weight of my friends with me as a reminder that i wasn't always just a husk. on the anniversary of their deaths i just meditate for about an hour, then when its night time i smoke a blunt under the stars. it aint much but what else could i even do. weed tied the group together, anytime we werent in class we were at one of our apts with at LEAST 4 of us there every time. anyways, all of this is to say thanks, just seeing a therapist not be a pos might get me to try therapy again.
I know it means so much to these artists that the music they created can run so deep in so many different people. Love seeing all types of people being able to connect through music.

But on a serious note, let me offer my perspective.
He repeats this “tired of feelin like I’m trapped…” over and over to emphasize how it feels to be in a constant cycle of negative emotion. It repeats over and over and it’s the same torment. Never ending.
He says “I’ll be with my thoughts when I’m all alone, that’s why I’m never alone in the nighttime.” Meaning, even while he tries to avoid others avoid society to find some solitude and bliss, he can never escape it because he can’t escape his thoughts.
Two parts: the background vocals “don’t go, don’t go to sleep don’t go to sleep stay here.” Is his representation of these devilish thoughts that he can’t control keeping him awake at night. Preventing him from his only solace (sleep).
And “brother** really wants to die in the nighttime” at the end of the day when he’s had enough and still can’t get away from it all his inner voice (demon) is keeping him up. he just wants to die, it’s the only way to end it.

For me, I always interpreted "Don't go, don't go to sleep, don't go, stay up and don't go" as pleading desperately with yourself to just stay present, to stay here, because when you're depressed, it feels like you're slipping between consciousness and autopilot, awareness and disassociation, asleep and awake.
