Killin' it on BlackBird !
First list ever!!
1. Blackbird
2. Yesterday
(Both from Beatles)
My god that sounded much better than I had expected it to.
Oh yes, I remember the Ed Sullivan performance, nicely done Mark !
blown away wasn't expecting that sound really nice.
Nothing better than a Flat top Friday to start my day!Greetings from Italy
Wow. That really sounds fantastic. One of the best flattops in quite some time.
It really does have a different sound from a Gibson J-45 or J-50. Clearer, more percussive.
Maybe more snappy would be a good description, but it still has the presence of a Gibson
on the low and middle strings. I'm impressed with this Epi, truly.
So rare to see a GotD that I already know all the songs without looking them up! :D Loved it!
Beautiful sound. Well played too!
#686: 3rd Texan, the others were a '65 and a '64. Love those Epiphones.
I can dig it.
Great Job, Mark....Sounds great over the innerweb.!
Happy FlatTop Friday everyone.
Happy 63rd Birthday to Michael
Schenker! Master of the V!
Watch everyday and I told myself I will practice 30min-1hr everyday
These vids inspire me to play. I usually play right after I watch Gotd. Keep it going 💪✌️
Getting good?
@@skeletalfooot269 Not bad 😏
@@BlackRob7208 rock on man. Check out Harmonica & Guitar progress to see 4 years of progress. My other channel
Wow..great playing...
No joke my dream acoustic. Just about creamed my pants when I saw that this was today's guitar. Great playing on Yesterday. Next time tune down a step ;)
Awesome guitar with great tembre.
I would like to have one of those beautiful acousticss..... Love Paul McCartney 😍
I hope these never end
Great guitar....great guitarist.
That thing sounds amazing
What a job you’ve got there.
Excellent !
Dude, you're a fantastic guitarist. Well done.
Yeah that sounds lovely.
Looks like the top on that Gibby Epi has a little flame figure to it. Gorgeous!
Sounds amazing.
That's some fine pickin' right there !!
Okay, that was beautiful
Oh yeah! The giveaway is happening! Thanks to everybody at Norman's for all the great vids on this channel (especially guitar of the day! ) and thanks in advance for making some lucky guitar player really happy. Can't wait to see what the giveaway guitar is, i'm sure it will be killer!
Great playing!
Such a resonant guitar 👌
As soon as I saw that guitar, I knew exactly what was coming next.
I miss my Texan. Sounds great
This one kills the later adj bridge versions. 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻🔥🔥🔥
That guitar was so beautiful that I almost forgive you for no bass yesterday
"Blackbird" was epic!
When I was in college we had 2 different music appreciation classes. Number two was for musicians. Blackbird was the final exam.
I luv the Epiphone line of guitars , I got into them mostly cause I can't afford Gibson or Martin but I have no regrets at all , they are fantastic instruments , great sound , even my Japanese made one is great , tho my eyes are open for a US one. Great work on Blackbird Mark
Mark had the "Two Martini Lunch" today.
As opposed to the 2 joint coffee break...
wayback playback - I took two "puffs" on that AK47 and got ripped. That stuff out there now ain't your daddy's reefer, man.
Love it
The Jacket!
Love me some Epiphone!
That thing sounds freaking huge
I bought a ‘64 Texan after spending an hour A-B-ing it with three mid fifties J45s and there was no contest. The longer scale makes these beautifully punchy and the low end began to seem non-existent on the Gibsons. This guitar will have you WRITING songs, they just have that indescribable quality...
Great 👍 sound
Great job, we need more Epiphones on GOTD!!!!!!
Wow that baby just sparkles in its attack. Very, very nice epi
Man, you can hear that extra tension. Sounds so damn good.
I always wondered about that and I can't get any good answers from Google. Besides the tension does the longer scale have any advantages as far as Tone.
Guitar ocd I don't know if an advantage, as long as preference goes, but due to the larger tension it requites a bit more strength to play, which results in a more snappy and responsive sound, sort of like a single coil as compared to a humbucker in electric guitar
@@guydude6546 I get that, I hear it. Could work well with some songs.
Guitar ocd isn't a long scale fan.
Wow this is how I play at parties when I’m imagining it to myself in my head... wish I had a tenth of your talent.
Beautiful gitfiddle too
Shit you have that dream too?
Only for about the last 25 years lol
Time to get serious.
Gitfiddle...haven’t heard anyone say that in years.
@@guitarocd9984 Blackbird got me laid a few times back in the 80s...
Nice job brother!
Wow. Maybe moreso than any other GOTD I've seen, this guitar makes *that* sound.
Very cool Epi!
She sure knows how to sing😍
That blackbird wow not bad for a stones guy👍
Nice hearing that Ramorons Jacket making some extra scratches on the back.
But beautifully performed.
Very nice.
Love the blonde finish.
Ark addimg to the jacket Mojo on the Epi!!👍🏻👍🏻
PS
All the knobs at Noon, cept jus a little reverb
good as always
beautifull playing
Love the Beatles songs, great guitar and thank you Mark (never underestimate the Beatle catalog and just using the name will sell things lol)
Yesterday sounded better the more you got into it. Good job.
SICK SHIRT
I saw the ES show and I thought I saw the Gibson head when he played yesterday.I own a 1961 epip century.it has the Gibson head and was, made in kalamazoo
Mark, you sounded great!! and the guitar, too. Just curious, though: what kind of strings were you playing with? I've got to replace those on my old Yamaha FG.
good job on Yesterday
Blackbird rocked!!
Sounds amazing! Are the strings factory on it or did you guys replace them, if so which ones are they?
This giveaway is really great for your European viewers, as we are 8/9 hours ahead of California, so the live will be long past midnight.
(Britain, Ireland and Portugal 8 hours ahead, CET 9 hours ahead)
Great guitar yesterday was written in the key of F
You nailed blackbird
I had the 1976 model and the glued on bridge popped loose by 1978.
Fingers- blackbird
Pick- yesterday
Nice!👍🏼
Mark... Mark....where are you? You are the only one I trust for the songs
Does that mean you are going to fly me over from Australia for the presentation?
You have to like the beats. They are your friend marky. They were my first. I lost my muse v at 5. one of the first places was from "Money Pit". I think you play the track lol
My drunk ass developed anxiety because i needed to watch GOTD...
That Keef shirt is rad
Well I said to Myself...before You said it...I was thinking about the song Sunshine of your Love earlier today Partly Cos' You Played Cream White Room. & then You said it...that's just how it works
Nice 👍
If you are doing the Guitar give away live, what about viewers in different countries and different time zones? How do we get a fair chance? Or is the giveaway aimed at the US only?
Cool
Mark, your are not old enough to have watched that on Ed Sullivan.
But I am and your right.
Nice job playing those 2 songs!!!
Wow
soul
Still waiting to see a Goya Rangemaster. Nice sounding Epi.
Turd Ferguson III I actually bought a single cut rangemaster from Norm’s and Mark said “I have a buddy who keeps asking me to do one of these. If you take it, you’re saving me from having to do it for a GOTD.”
BOUGHT A SUNBURST TEXAN IN 64 FOR 130 QUID, SOLD IT IN 67 FOR 50 . STILL A LITTLE SAD. MANAGED TO BUY 64 REPLICA MACCA PERSONALLY SIGNED FOR 5 GRAND. ALL WAS NOT LOST.
wow sounded better than most J-45's even !
Epiphone needs to use short headstocks again! Mark is incredible on a flat top!
Song 1: Blackbird - The Beatles
Song 2: Yesterday - The Beatles
(I don’t know if you’re still doing them as often but my birthday is on Monday (the 14th) and I’m turning 20 and if you can give me a shoutout hopefully I’d be happy)
