I am glad that they decided to go brushless on with this pro version of the EZ pilot kit and it is awesome that you get the E8 transmitter and those fpv goggles, granted that it is only a little less than the Tinyhawk III but still super cool to see a new iteration of this RTF kit! I like the idea with the paintbrush, definitely a great tip though, don't want to accidentally cause short anything. It would be nice to see Emax unlock the VTX for the kits sold in the US so that beginners don't have as rough of a time switching power outputs. Thanks for your take on this kit, loved the flight footage too!
Today the ez pilot pro set is about 70€ more expensive than the Tinyhawk 3. I think I’m go ing to buy the tinyhawk 3
@@timbonator1 Yeah definitely, the new EZ pilot kit basically is hobby grade anyways so might as well get the tiny hawk III especially since it it a better price 😁

I like the goggles for an entry rtf. And the dji like remote is kinda neat. Not a bad rtf at all
I was really happy with the tinyhawk in this kit, its like bendy plastic not hard its going to be difficult to break.
I noticed the flex as well. It impact the most aggressive of flight moves but for RTF shouldn't be an issue.
I sold my Tinyhawk2 to my daughter's boyfriend. It has taken one hell of a beating. I'm surprised that it even powers up anymore!

Have you tried nfe race mode? It allows you to use horizon mode for the roll axis and acro mode for the pitch axis. I think it's only on emuflight. I can't get use to flying full horizon mode but the nfe race mode is nice for inside.
I have tried it, not a lot though. I started using it back when it was on a custom firmware.
Looks like a repurposed emax tinyhawk s. Does this have a traditional 25x25 aoi board like the th3? I remember the older versions had a non traditional board layout, and couldn't really transfer the guts to other frames.

yes, this is normal for emax. They don't like the race for the 1st reviews. I kinda like a launch date, gives me time to explore and know even when I am done I may have time to explorer more.

Does this have altitude stability? or do you have to manually control altitude all the time even at angle mode?
It does have "smart height assist" for help with altitude control.
I just bought the EMAX EZ Pilot Pro RTF as my first FPV drone. Expecting the delivery in 3 weeks. I was wondering if there is a way to improve the reception without getting expensive goggles like yours... Maybe a patch antenna for the goggles? I also noticed that there's no antenna sticking out on the drone compared to the Tiny Hawk. Is there a way to add one? I'll make sure to switch to raceband channel 8 and VTX at 200 milliwatts to have the best reception possible since I'll be flying mostly indoor. Thanks for all your valuable info! 🙏
The antenna is tucked away inside the body of the quad. We can pull that out to get a tiny bit more reception. A patch antenna will help main at the furthest point away we fly. We need to have the patch pointed at the quad as it flies away. The reception narrows as we move away from the googles with a patch antenna. Truerc makes some nice antenna to check out

Hello, I have this kit but I would like a low cost 4 or 5 inch freestyle drone, if possible I would like to take advantage of the radio and the glasses, is there any way? Which do you recommend? I'm from Brazil! Friendly hug
I don't fly 5 inch quads, you would need to select something with frsky protocol to bind it with the radio in this kit.
This FPV drone looks very like the Cetus Pro with the EMAX E8 controller. 🤪
to a degree, the tinyhawk is longer than traditional whoop type drones
So I’m wondering what the benefit (besides price) would be of buying this over the tinyhawk III rtf kit.
The primary benefit is price, but durability should be higher as well with the thicker spurs around the motor and prop protection

better depends. the ez pilot is made for very much a first drone. I think the betafpv equivalent is the cetus x.

Can you slow down the motors to fly inside? Cheers I’m only just starting out.
We don’t want to do that but what we can do is decrease the camera angle to naturally slow us down. We can also reduce our stick sensitivity by add a bit of expo on the receiver page of betaflight

Non DVR is a huge bummer! but for a new user just trying to get their feet wet with FPV indoors or outdoors in a small space with a little drone like this, it's honestly inconsequential.

Better depends on many factors. EZ pilot will be easier to start with, but less capable long term.

Hi I just bought the Emax ex. But it keeps drifting to the left, I had to give 2/3 Rd of the right roll to keep it stable. I started with intermediate mode and tried to trim the roll. Unfortunately it didn't work. Any suggestions?
First step would be to calibrate the accelerometer. This is the part that measures level. does it get worse as the flight goes on?

Depends on many factors but we need to ensure goggles are on the exact frequency the transmitter is broadcasting on

@@ras1calisuk876 We can use the osd (likely need to find instructions how to get there, to much to type here), or set it via betaflight vtx page. Both would show us the exact frequency and then we match that on the goggles.

Its really hard to go back to what I wanted to do and how I thought about fpv 5+ years ago. Forcing myself to pick something right now. I would likely get the command radio mobula 7 1s combo from makerfire and then add the vifly whoopstor charger and goggles that I could afford.

Lol in what world is the cam on this in anyway good? This kit was pure junk!!! Goggles are as cheap as can be made not to mention how small the screen is. Do yourself a favor and get the Tinyhawk 2 RTF Kit it is a way way way way nicer. If anyone reviews this anything less than junk, has some kind of motives to try and sell these . Just my 2 cents coming from flying and owning all of the Tinyhawks!
I can give you one example of a market. I recently had a grandparent ask me about RTF kits. I had them look at videos of the TinyHawk kits, they felt it was to aggressive and wanted something easier. I then recommend the EZ pilot and they apparently did buy it and wrote me an email months later how pleased their grandson was with it.
